Stops in Middle of Job

Several times I've started a 20-25 page 2-sided print job and the printer stopped, either after completing the first sides, or in the middle of printing the second sides. What a headache, especially when in a hurry. Sometimes takes 20 minutes to start, sometimes doesn't start at all. When it does print, it's beautiful and I almost forgive it!

God help you if you try to print on both sides

The print quality is good.
But if you try to print on both sides of the paper from a Mac, you'll slit your wrists.
It can be done, but only after three trial and errors. I think it's a ploy to sell more ink. If you're attempting to print both sides of a 50 page document, you'll throw away 100 failed pages. First, you'll have page 1 next to page 50, then the odd pages will be upside down, "Normal Print" does not seem to be normal, etc.
Just when you think you have all the choices figured out, it prints the even pages upside down (or other insanity) It does not like "preview" shows.

Great Printer

I had this printer for a while now. I have used the WiFi option and the USB option. Both have worked great. The best part of this printer for me is the multi paper feeder used to scan documents to the PC. No more opening the top and inserting a single document at a time. Great print and scan quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Paper feed trays/slides need serious re-design. No back light on display requires a flashlight to read it.
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup

disgracefully inadequate setup guide.

The only thing clear in the setup guide is the electric plug location. No tape where depicted, and tape in odd locations not depicted. Fortunately a little mechanican reasoning got the mechanics done. But then came the electronics for wireless. The little window prompted for pressing the WPS button - where is the WPS button? No pressing the WPS button means no wireless operations. As much white space as was wasted on the setup guide, surely an indication of the WPS button could have been included.
Cons: Difficult Setup

Hate this printer

This printer is VERY hard to operate and when you down load the manual the pages you can not read. The print is so small you best have GREAT eye site. For a older person it's VERY hard to see the print. This will be the last canon printer I will buy unless they can correct the problems.
Pros: fast print speed
Cons: Difficult to use, Low Quality Output, be younger and be very good with this computer stu

This printer is worthless. I've had it less than 2 months and it is eating paper and will not feed it properly. I have cleaned and reset it twice and it still is jamming up.
Cons: Difficult Setup, unreliable, Flimsy Construction, uses up ink quickly
