An OK printer

Have the printer a couple of weeks now and have no major complains. It took a little longer to set up the WiFi, had to use the USB cable for that but it does connect as designed. The display needs a back light but isn't a major problem using a small flash light. The speed and quality is OK, as expected. Like the idea of designing a printer with print heads as part of the ink cartridge. My last Cannon print head got damaged because it ran out of ink and I waited to long to replace the cartridge. Now with this new printer if it happens again all you do is buy another ink cartridge. Replacement for those print heads cost almost the same price as a new printer.
Pros: reliable, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use

Was Hoping 4 Better

I was a big fan of another line however, I got to know their tech center on a first name basis and my husband even got involved. This is so frustrating. Somehow my printer got taken off-line and now I'm having the hardest time getting it back. I had it for a while then it disappeared again. Reminds me of I-Spy or Clue for those of you who are old enough to appreciate them.
I will be calling Tech Support later to get.some help before I go bonkers. Wish me luck!!!!!
p.s. I will be contacting the "Online Support Information" as they have requested.
Pros: Easy Setup, durable, fast print speed, easy to use
Cons: unreliable, hard to connect when using wireless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had bought a new computer and I couldn't connect to my Canon Printer. I had tried for two weeks and decided to call the customer service number. I had waited about 15 minutes and then I got this amazing man who took the time and made me feel smart about connecting these two electronics together. I am so grateful for this service.

Too high priced, too far away. Hard to find MY ink

Too high priced, too far away. Hard to find MY ink. Just tried to find WHERE to input on "Shop" page that pops up when printer demands more ink, and cannot find where to tap or to fill in my needed product. Next printer will have GENERIC ink I can buy locally AND order by email. ALSO the L-shaped icon set is WAY too complicated. I want EASY ACCESS to hit PRINT, SCAN, or FAX. I want a second level for when I need more complicated access. ALSO - HOW do I turn off the intrusive box running all my photos?! No delete in view! I don't want to read the whole MANUAL for this that should be easy.

When it works, IT WORKS! When it doesn't, IT DOESN'T!

I've had this printer for more than 7 years. It has worked well, when everything is clicking. But lately, I've had to uninstall the drivers and re-install them. I've had to shut it down, unplug the power cable, and plug it in again. I've had to unplug the data cable and plug it in again. The wireless component stopped working 4 years ago. Now, every time I attempt to print, it requires unplugging and re-plugging cables, uninstalling and installing drivers. I will replace this printer with a different Canon product, because, as I said, when it works, it's fine, and this printer has generally served me well for almost a decade.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great ability to print via wireless, along with scan and photocopy

I have owned this printer for about four years and it still works great. The wireless printing function is excellent, especially from my iPhone via Air Print. I also appreciate the scanning and photocopying capability. Sometimes paper can jam, but doesn't that happen to all printers?
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't Buy! Too much of a headache. Wireless does not always work. Print line not straight. Paper jams. Loses connection too often. Pain.

Very disappointing product. Difficult to set up, gets stuck in fax or scan mode so can't print. Stay away from this printer.
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, unreliable
