Don't pay attention to the ranting bad reviews here:
- Printer is good middle-of-road
- User friendly if you slow-down and use it properly.
- Front sheet-fed only
- Wish driver included "sleep settings". They're in documentation but only "Power off" available in settings.
- Price is right
- scans, prints, and faxes great.
- No wired NIC port.

wasted hours of life I will never get back fixing

If you want a printer that stops working just when you need it most this one is for you! I have been up all night packing items to ship and then trying to get this to print. This is not the first time or the second or even the third, more like fifty and you would think I’d know how to fix it with eyes closed by now but no, no,no it doesn’t respond the same every time it is like it has a mind of it own and when it gets tired of seeing your frustration it starts again. 24 help is something I thought I saw but they endorsed some quacks ....just don’t do it. Never ever ever never again will I buy a cannon printer. They would have to give it to me and then I’d have a backup handy. I thought it was just me till I read the other reviews, serves me right for trusting in a brand. I would give minus stars if I could. I grow old and weary waiting for this thing to work!!!

Worse printer ever

This printer is the very unreliable and NOT user friendly. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't whether it's printing a document or scanning a document. I don't think I am doing anything wrong because at times it works. Now I am having problems with the scanner, should it not be as simple as pressing the scan button and it should automatically scan. And yes, it worked one time but now it's no longer working. I've never had such a bad experience before this printer.
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

best for the pricing

overall the printer instructions were a little hard to follow, but, once we connected with Carlos of Canon Customer Care...............we were smooth sailing. He made the whole process very easy to follow and his demeanor was outstanding. He was a customer advocate. he made us feel good about our purchase.
Pros: customer service, good product for the price, reliable, quality
Cons: installation instructions, print delay

Worked great at first, could use my phone, tablet, computer with printer. Somewhere along the line the printer went "offline" it's been a nightmare since. Cannot get it on our home network as it previously was, just not worth the time and energy.
Cons: Difficult to use, Difficult Setup, unreliable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Short lived

Purchased this printer in 2014 for my son's last semester in college. It won't feed paper correctly it insists on being "offline" when my computer tries to use it wirelessly. When I plug it into the USB, my entire stack of unused paper feeds through and causes a paper jam. I am frustrated with it.

Wifi never worked

I bought the MX452 to replace an MX300 series printer I've had for a while. I bought the MX452 specifically for the wifi capability. We have multiple computers in my home and the older printer only worked on one with a USB connection. I went through the necessary steps and the computer couldn't recognize the printer on the wifi. I need to mention in this review that I am fairly technical. I know how to manually configure settings, etc. I couldn't get it to work after more than an hour. I took it back and bought the MX922. I haven't hooked it up yet, but I'm hoping it's easier. I also was not happy with the quality of the plastic housing. My old printer was well built. This one seemed to be a little more cheaply constructed.
Cons: Difficult Setup, Flimsy Construction
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Product!

Dont Listen to the other posts. As long as you do what the directions tell you to do, the printer will work perfectly. We have 4 ipads, 4 iphones, 1 Windows Phone, and 4 computers all being able to print to this printer. No problems what so ever. It works great!
Pros: reliable, Easy Setup, durable, High Quality Output, fast print speed, easy to use
