Easier clean up due to removable parts unlike the old Stea m Pro model that I had 20 years.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Would take the unit back, but bought this pet unit (17N4) last year and didn't need it until now. As a retired product developer, the design is beautiful, but is woefully underpowered by a 6.2Amp motor(my last one was 12Amp! The highest Amp for plugging into a wall). That explains the pushing/pulling required to get the water up. (still felt very wet) For some reason the drag while using the machine feels like 100lbs. Much more than any other machine I ever, ever used. Because of the suction power, the pushing/pulling required to actually do even a small area was extremely tiring and lengthy. While we vacuumed well first, the machine clogs with hair EVERYWHERE and will block off the suction nozzle area and you won't pick up any water. You either stop and clean out the brushes or keep pushing back and forth until it dislodges. Again adding time and energy this 70yr old doesn't have to give. What I gave two stars on was clean ability. Everything that needs to be cleaned can be accessed. There is a little red 'screen' that comes on the pet unit for catching hair. The hair doesn't get that far! It's everywhere but. Finally, the 8oz of pet solution included doesn't clean very well. It just has 'perfume' in it. Might just sell it used and rent one at grocery store. No difference.

Not impressed!

Cleaning seemed adequate, but water removal was mediocre. With fans, carpet took over 8 hours to dry. Small masses of carpet fibers and pet hair form in the brush assembly, some of which get expelled on the carpet being cleaned and most of which have to be picked out by hand. After cleaning, my unit formed a puddle on the floor after sitting for 20 minutes while I prepared a second area for cleaning. Its not easy to dump the dirty water without dumping cleaning solution as well if there is any left.

Replaced my 25 - 35 year old Bissell

We had an old reliable Bissell tub type rug cleaner (nick named R2D2) used extensively by many members of the family that finally had a part break that could not be replaced. Grudgingly we replaced with this upright style and have been pleasantly surprised with the results and it's ability to take up many stains without a great deal of pre-work with a scrub brush that we had to with R2D2. It appears well made and is much easier to clean out after use. We hope this unit is as durable as the first Bissell and of course it's now been nicknamed C3PO.

I borrowed a friends similar model and it worked great! Love that the bladder keeps clean and dirty water separate. Purchased this one to help keep carpet clean (we have two cats and a dog) does a great job and super simple to use!

DeepClean Premier™ Pet Deep Cleaner

I would prefer the measuring cup be part of the cleaner and not loose to improve storage. While cleaning, I bumped a piece of furniture and knocked one of the side brushes off. I also knocked the handtool out of its holder. Aside from these minor issues that may have been improved with the design, it worked great. There is no doubt, my carpet and sofa are cleaner. They are both brighter and smell great. It is easy to use and easy to clean. It seems big, but feels lighter than a previous cleaner I owned. Possibly due to the single-tank system which is great. Like it. Will continue to use it. Would recommend it.

This is a fantastic product, just as you would expect from Bissell. It is easy to use and easy to clean after use. My carpet looks brand new after I use the DeepClean and I have 2 teenage boys and 2 dogs!! I would recommend this product to anyone who has dirty carpets. You will not be disappointed.

Stopped spraying the floor after a few uses

Water/solution still flowing to the hand tools, though. Checked the troubleshooting section of the manual, tried priming the pump following the instructions; still won't spray. Have made sure the tank is seated properly; still won't spray. As this is with a freshly filled tank, the "tank is empty" suggestion doesn't apply. What could cause solution to flow to the hand tools, but not to the floor nozzles?
