Great lens, Great bargain

I purchased this lens when I bought the A300. It's been a great experience. The clarity and contrast are very good, color rendition very natural. For its price this lens is a steal. highly recomennded!
What's great about it: clarity, weight, price
What's not so great: i only wish it was internal focusing, but then it would weigh more
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good zoom lens

I baught this lens just before I went to africa, it really helped me get the photos i needed of the aimals wich were sometimes far away and I caught great photos in the end. But I always had to use manual focus because I found the autofocus was noisy and very slow. Which if an animal was running I would find it easier to use manual focus rather then have to wait for the autofocus. But still a great lens in overall just remember that if you are going to buy it it has a slow autofocus.
What's great about it: Great for objects far away, good lens for portraits.
What's not so great: Slow on autofocus and not so great aperture

Love this len's and its affordable

I bought this b/c is a nice long rang zoon lens. I have taken nature shoots and also used for to wedding photos during the vows. It allows you to take the photos you want to capture while allowing your subject's space.
What's great about it: Takes great photos

Excellent purchase. I am amateur and I have a camera SONY SLT A33. See the comments in this section I dared to buy this lens SAL75300. I am really very pleased with my investment. The results are very good.
What's great about it: Low Price , very good photos
What's not so great: Not for low light shooting

Great Lense

I bought this lense with my A300 camera. As of today every picture that I have taken are excellent. For a beginner like me, this is a good lense. I recomend it to any one that want to take good picture from the distance.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: None

Average lens

I shoot outdoors 99% of the time for landscapes. This lens performs average in all aspects, but has a definite sharpness loss beyond 250mm and you get more CA on high contrast items. I guess this is normal for a cheap lens. I will likely upgrade to a faster lens as this does not perform very good in anything darker than mostly sunny conditions. Bokeh on close subjects is fair as well. Overall just too soft and too much grain for me even at 100 ISO. For videos in low light or indoors this is very poor and requires ISOs of 3200 minimum unless you have good light sources inside. I shoot with an A57 crop sensor if that helps anyone's decision making.
What's great about it: Weight and price
What's not so great: AF motor and grain

Great Bargain

The 75-300MM lens is a great value lens and it will easily satisfy the budget minded hobbyist or professional as well. This lens takes great photographs and it's zoom capabilities makes it one of my favorites. The only issue is the dust that easily collects on its rubber surfaces otherwise you cant beat this entry level piece of glass.
