Better than expected

As a commercial A/V integrator I've always been weary of soundbars and always advise to use them as a last resort in home settings. Nevertheless, I found myself in need of a quick fix for our new living room and purchased this Samsung unit based on the addition of the sound tubes over just purely being digital. I'm very impressed with this units overall sound quality and range (using the optical input and bluetooth connections). It certainly takes a bit of adjusting in the menu to get it dialed into your room, as I think it produces more bass than needed out of the box.
Remote is small, but I'm using a MX-890 URC remote, no issues programming it into my existing universal. I could see it getting annoying having to change inputs if your using the soundbar as your audio switcher, I'm justing pulling audio straight from a Samsung display. Would be nice if you could have audio presets somewhere, especially at this price point, but that's about the only drawback.
All around great product from Samsung. Worth the price.
Pros: sound quality
Cons: no audio presets.

Expensive, But Great Sound

I like the sound. Out of the box I didn't like it, but after tinkering with some settings, I love it.
I bought a Samsung TV at the same time. I was setting both up and attempting to connect a wire between the TV and sound bar. Once both were plugged in I got a notice on the TV screen saying it had detected the sound bar. One click and they were connected. I had no idea they had this capability.
Pros: great sound
Cons: really expensive for what it is

Wow this really step up the sound on my blue-ray and 3d movies only draw back was it could use a little more surround sound effect.

Outstanding Sound from this Soundbar/Sub Combo

I'm getting wonderful rich sounds from this system. I opted for a soundbar instead of 5.1 because it's in a small space. Compared to the other demos in the store not only was the sound quality better but the overall volume was very impressive. Cranked all the way up this thing can blow you away! Low end response is fantastic and the sound all around is crisp and clear. The Bluetooth feature is very nice and I also enjoy being able to connect it wirelessly to certain Samsung TVs. I'm thoroughly satisfied with my purchase and consider it money well spent.
Pros: Durable, amazing sound, great bass, perfect for small rooms, effortless setup

Well first off this is the new sound bar from Samsung....yup you guessed it lol. Let me by first telling you that the sleek design of this thing is nicely done. The biggest problem with sound bars in general is you'll never get that theater type sound......but with this one you are able to get into the action. Here is a few things I LOVE about this thing
1. VACUUM TUBES - for people that don't know much about this well let me try to explain the best I can. The main problem with music today is that everything is digital which means its so compressed during the process you lose so much quality of the music. The point of the tubes is to decompress the audio to give you the original sound the musician intended which means it doesn't sound so weak.
2- Airplay = NO WIRES though that only implies if you have a 2013 smart tv but that means you can take this thing anywhere plus the wireless sub is always nice. it can also be wall mounted if you choose to do so.
My Cons about this is the price I think this is a little steep for the quality I mean don't get me wrong testing this and the Klisp or Harmon sound bar I feel the Samsung out does them by far because of the tubes alone.
Let it warm up though takes about 10 minutes to get those baby's full throttle but over all for the new higher end sound bar for 2013 they definitely started off right. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for sound bar but looking for a theater type of experience..

Samsung finally got audio right!

I have been selling electronics for years now and I have always loved MOST of Samsung's products, one thing they have always lacked on is audio. How ever with this new sound bar Samsung finally hit the nail! This system gives a very rich and warm feeling to all your audio be it music, an action movie, or video game. This sound bar has all the features anyone could need, the performance is great, it can be very loud and provide great bass with no distortion. I didn't give 5 stars on the design as its larger than most sound bars, which isn't an issue if you are mounting you TV and sound bar to a wall, but sitting on a stand the bar could block the bottom part of your TV. Value I marked down to 4 out of 5 because as it does sound good the price seems a little more than other sound bars that have the same sound. All in all this is a great system and i would recommend it.

Cons: little larger than i would like

The sound is good but the default setting is for digital in. So, if you have connected via hdmi then you have to switch it back from d.in every time you turn it on. There should be a way to change the default setting to the way you have it connected.
