It's lightweight. It's good enough to work on hardwood floors. Useless when it comes to carpets, worse if you have dog hairs or bits of leaves on carpet. This product offers too little suction, the brush only rolls as you move the hoover (so doesn't actively brush the carpet), and the top part of the filter doesn't open, so good luck to clean it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Did an excellent job of cleaning my carpets . The canister was full of fine sand, dust and hair-amazing! Super easy to empty. The tools are handy and do a great job too. The only negative is it's very heavy.

Great vacuum, but after a few months....

I have had this vacuum for several months now. I really liked the suction power and the on board attachments, especially the turbo tool. Worked great in picking up the cat hair. After a few months of great service, the latch that holds the purple cover closed does not engage any more. While at first I thought this was no big deal, it does matter. Without it being latched all the way, a complete seal is not made and I notice a very fine dust covering the vacuum which means it is also escaping out into the room. Not good.....I have tried to adjust it to no avail...at the moment, am very disappointed as I thought I finally found a good, inexpensive but reliable vac.
