vacuum becomes covered with dust when using, emits cloud of dust when turned on. Must take the canister outside to empty to avoid making a mess indoors. primary dust foam rubber filter must be cleaned with every emptying of canister. Would have returned unit if I hadn't disposed of packaging materials prematurely.

Thanks for the feedback - with normal use this absolutely should not happen. Please check to make sure the foam filter is in place in the top of the dirt tank and that it's clean. If it's missing that could cause fine dust to blow through the motor as pictured.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Seeing as this vacuum was the last of the 12 amp Motors I was extremely excited to purchase it. I still have an original cleanview with a 12 amp motor from 2005. The reason I purchased this one thinking it would be newer better then the old one but it just fell short. However I did like that it was a heavier vacuum had plenty of power did not matter what carpet or floor you were on it picked up extremely well. Better than I expected. The only downfall is and this is specific to me. Is that the cord is 25 feet long and my living room is 34 ft long. I just need a longer cord. I did return it and purchase the cleanview Plus because it had a 5-foot longer cord. However this model would have been the one to keep. I do not like the cleanview Plus.

This machine performs as advertised. I'm impressed with the amount of debris that is picked up with yes, only one pass. Can't believe I paid such a small amount for such great performance. The ONLY thing I would change - to put the cord attachment higher on the machine rather than down at the bottom, making it necessary to hold onto it when I vacuum.

The vacuum is clogging where the hose meets the canister.

MY VACUUM IS 3 MONTHS OLD. All the dust, dirt, etc collects at the top of the canister. (Side Note) WE HAVE NO PETS! We barely use it! I called customer service and they're recommendation was to send me a new hose. I told them repeatedly, there''s nothing wrong with the hose..! so I replaced the hose, same issue. Customer service is now wanting me to take it to an authorized dealer, 60 min drive, just so they can inspect it. So if I drive there out and back twice that's 4 hrs of my time. They could just simply send me new filters or a new canister. I am very disappointed with the quality of the products and the customer service provided. For Bissell is a brand name that my family used to trust...... not any more!

Thanks for the feedback, a dirty filter or static could case debris to collect around the upper cyclone. Try washing the filter in the top of the dirt tank or replacing the post motor filter below. We normally would not recommend a service center that far away from your home. If cleaning the filters does not help, give us a call back so we can better assist .1-800-237-7691.

Loved the suction but found it heavier and louder than I expected. On off switch too low as well as the handle as I am tall and back hurts after use which my Hoover never did.

Vacuum isn't worth the $ unless you aren't going to use it much. I've had mine 1yr 2mo & the handle release broke last night. No way to fix b/c nothing to attach it to if glued or otherwise. It's worked great & noisy up until then. I almost broke 2 plate glass windows because the handle kept falling after the release broke off. Here I go again looking for a new vacuum, I can't go without one.
