costing me money

I purchase this model 9595 at the end of August, I have already put 4 belts on this vacumn , I purchased 2 belts before I contacted Bissell and all they told me is to take it to a dealer to have it serviced, put money out for a sweeper and now I have to pay to fix it, put a belt on yesterday and vacumned my living room and get what it already broke, I think they need to redesign the belt or tell me what is wrong with there design, love the sweeper if we could get the belts to last.

Spits dirt out instead of picking it up

I got this less than two months ago, and within the first time of using it - nothing special, on a hardwood floor, it started spitting out anything bigger than a grain of sand. I've done all the troubleshooting that the manual suggests, and nothing seems to help.

Thanks for your feedback. With dust blowing out this is an indication of a clog in your machine. Make sure the filters are cleaned. We recommend also removing the upholstery hose from the machine and sticking a broom stick handle through the hose to push any hair that may be restricting airflow. A No Frills Workhorse

I have or had 5 Bissells. The thing that holds them upright broke on the first two. I currently have this one (9595A) and a 1331 and 2215. The 9595A is a no frills workhorse, but is by far the best one for picking up stuff. The hose and cord could be longer. It is bottom heavy (with a 12 amp motor) and clunky to move, but it works demonstrably better than the other two. The carpet even looks fluffier after I use it. The 2215 is fun to use and has nice features, but IMO it is obsolete when I compare what it picks up vs. the 9595A. Other Bissells have more features and may be easier to use, but I doubt any Bissell picks up better than this one. To that extent Bissell may not even make a 5* vacuum.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was so excited to buy a Bissell product along with not having to worry about a bag! well... I have had problems with its with almost every use. It plugs up very easily!! I mean VERY easily. And tonight I started to do some spring cleaning. So before I started up the vacuum I cleaned it out knowing it was going to be all plugged up from my last use and I started cleaning under the couch cushions while I was using the hose, the vacuum was upright and well to my surprise the the dang mouth of the vacuum melted my carpet!!! I am sooooo upset I just bought that carpet. I will be calling Bissell ASAP to get a refund! uhg!

I have a cat rescue in my house with 10 cats right now and all I can say is this Bissell really works. I have to empty the dust bin at least twice with everyone shedding right now in the desert heat. get off the fence if you want a good vacuum.. thanks Bissell
