For the price, you can't beat how this works. I decided to purchase this after reading reviews and I was deciding between this and a Dirt Devil. Due to reviews I went with this. I like it. I was looking for a not-so-expensive vacuum yet I still wanted something to help clean. I must say, I am not disappointed. I love the brush - the motorized brush. LOVE that attachment. Finally I can clean my stairs and furniture properly. It is a bit much to lug the vacuum on the stairs but, hey, they are getting clean and I'm thrilled. I purchased this one month ago and I have not had any issues. I have cleaned the filter once, although I should probably clean it on every other use.

What really surprised me was.......the amount of gray dust that the vacuum picked up! I had used a much older vacuum on the floor.....and was really surprised at how much the Bissell picked up after I had used the older vacuum. I bought this vacuum also for the ability to go under furniture. I don't think the suction power under furniture is as great as when it is more upright, but still works. I think if you take care of it....it will last. One of the problems with anything....is that you really should read the manual to have best results. So, if you have your teenager vacuum.....and they didn't read the manual....maybe this vacuum won't last as long! But, I'm glad I bought it! Makes the apartment cleaner!

Great suction. Had a heavy Bissell before and this out-performs the old one. The On/Off button is inconveniently located, it should be on the handle for ease of use. The suction hose is extremely short and therefore while using the attachments, the vacuum easily tips over. Hopefully it will "stretch out" over time so that I can more easily reach my targets. To their credit, the attachments are easy to store and retrieve from the vacuum.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This vacuum was easy to assemble and is light weight even when full. Super easy to empty container without getting hands dirty. Semi-quiet and picks up dog hair better than any other vacuum I have owned. Great vacuum for the price! Would recommend to all.

Power clean One Pass

I have paid less for a vacuum cleaner and been more satisfied. This model cleans the carpet well enought but its awful to dump out the dirt. The hose won't stay in the receptor. It's hard to open the area where the filter is and even more difficult to clean. The only really good feature is the retractable cord.

Thanks for your review. It's best to stretch the hose tight to secure into the hose clip. Make sure to push the lid release button then pull up on the top of the canister to get to the pre-motor filter. The post motor filter tray just slides out. The foam filters are hand washable with mild soap. Make sure they are dry before reinstalling.

I've owned many many different vacumes in my day. Probably most brands. This Bissell beats every one of them. I wore out the smaller version of the Bissell, recently. A friend loaned me their Cleanview. I used it 3 days, looked online and found one for myself...so glad I did...I have 3 Boxers, that shed daily. This vacuum picks it all up....HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!
