Definitely prefer this bissel over all the hoover vacuums

Love my new vacuum. It is lightweight & very easy to move around. The cord is long enough to do my entire carpet in my bedroom(which is a large room) without unplugging & replugging it!! The suction is great.

Does this vacuum have the option for a bare floor setting? To turn the brushes off?

Yes, the lowest height setting is for bare floor. There is no switch to turn the brush off. When using the cleaning tools just have the handle in the upright position; this will lift the brush off from the floor.

Missing feature

Bought this for all-purpose vacuuming. t\Two problems: First, it is quite heavy. Second, when using the had-held attachment, there is no way yo turn off the rotating brush on the main sweeper. This means I can't use it outside to, for instance, vacuum the car. It pulls up stones and dirt unless you lay it down, which vastly shortens the reach of the hand vacuum hose. When I looked in the manual to figure out how to turn off the rotating brush, in small print its says there is a shut off button "in select models." But it doesn't say which ones. Frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We have never owned a Bissell product before, but we bought this product to replace my wind tunnel after looking at everything on the market. I'm so happy with it. It's light weight and easy to transport between home and RV and car. One thing I particularly like about it is it's ability to clean floors and area rugs without adjustment or without pulling the rugs up. Because of it's light weight I expected it to have trouble with the rugs, but it glided right over them. Watching the machine fill with dirt, dust and pet hair is actually kind of fun too, and emptying the cylinder is simple. Thanks Bissell.

Great suction and very easy to empty. Easy to push and does a better job on my carpet then a very expensive vacuum that I had. After I got home with the Bissell Cleanview and used it, I returned to the store and purchased another one! These are great vacuums and I think anyone purchasing it will be glad they did.

I just used my CleanView vacuum for the first time today and can't believe how much it picked up. It easily picked up things that our previous vacuums had problems with and took less time. It was also quiet and easy to clean. Even though I haven't used it yet, I like that the TurboBrush Tool was included. I't definitely the best vacuum we have ever owned.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am very happy with my Bissell 9595 so far . I really like the adjustable height to be able to vacuum very dense new carpet . The accessory Turbo brush is a little weak ; but I think overall the 9595 is excellent value for money.
