Sorry to hear this, Bill - We offer a two year manufacturers warranty with this vacuum that covers any manufacturing issues. This does not however cover maintenance issues like clogs or dirty filters.

I have now had this vacuum for six months and I am not one to usually leave a review. However, when we went shopping for a new vacuum we found good reviews so based on that we purchased this vacuum. What a mistake! Today I was vacuuming on a wood floor and what I thought was a piece of dirt was a spider and the spider got away - the vacuum could not pick it up I had to go get a tissue and kill it. When I turn the vacuum on a puff of dust goes into the air every time even if I clean both the filters. When I empty the bin and start it back up the dust blown into the air is unbelievable. The Heppa filter will not stay in place since week two and is now being taped in place. We recently got a kitten and he is messy in the littler box which is on a wood floor. When I tried to vacuum it up I could feel it hitting my feet as it was being shot all over the place.

We were needing to replace our messy bag upright. For our lake place, which we do rent. And as the primary cleaner between renters I needed a dependable product. Have great experience with Bissell products, so we looked there first. Chose this model for larger amp motor. Assembled easily. Used first time this week and operated as expected. Great fit and finish. All accessories connected easily and functioned as expected. Powerful suction and extremely light weight.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought one of these five months ago, was very impressed in the beginning ... It worked well, cleaned well, easy to empty and clean, I was very happy. I have three dogs and I vacuum my house every day. After three months it started smoking and had a horrid burning smell then died. I took it back to the store and they agreed to replace it for me thinking maybe it was a defective vacuum. The second one only lasted two months before it did the exact same thing. Do not waste your money!

When my current vacuum stopped working, I borrowed my neighbor's. It was a Bissell 9595. I was overwhelmingly impressed with the amount of dog hair and dirt that it picked up. I loved how the canister was easy to empty. There is no need to purchase expensive replacement bags. The filters are easy to clean and replace. After doing some research and comparisons, I purchased a Bissell 9595 for myself. I love the job that it does on my carpet. I do wish the cord was a little longer so that it could reach further. The motor on my new Bissell is not as quiet as my neighbor's, but I am very happy with the suction power that it has. The power for the price can't be beat.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] ive been a Bissell guy for a while now. i just love their vacuums. They are effective, efficient, multi-tasking, and a great price point. The CleanView is an upgrade from the older model (i think i might have had a different name several years ago). The easy to remove canister is even easier on this model, plus the washable filter ensures my allergies stay calm when i vacuum...which is very important to me. the super flexible hose attachment is better than ever allowing for much more flexibility and expanding where I can reach with the vacuum. The dial for carpet-to-hardwood setting is perfect for the house with both.
I would recommend this to a friend!
