Good vacuum, would love to see continued improvements

Good suction so far. Looks nice. Heavy weight... hopefully that means solid components that last. The rear of the vacuum is a bit cramped with components, which slows me down when I'm trying to wind the cord back on. The power button is small, and in a strange location on the side of the vacuum. I'm not a huge fan of the "trap door" release on the part that catches the dirt. It tends to dump too quickly and creates a plume of dust in the trash can. I prefer to dump it out from the top more slowly.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great Vaccum - Very powerful, picksup dust and other items from the carpet. Has three settings for suction power. The dust chamber is transparent, comes of easily and you can throw the dust into the dustbin without getting your hands dirty. No additional supplies like dust bags are needed. The filter is washable - made up of sponge. It has a power cable. It is a bit heavy, which is good for the suction. However, it'll also give you a good workout while vaccuming :)

Horrible Vacuum

I purchased this vacuum a couple of months ago. From the first time I have used it more dust comes out of the vacuum than goes in. The whole room is in a fog during vacuuming and have to dust everything after vacuuming. Not sure what the problem is, but I have thoroughly cleaned the vacuum and filters and once you start vacuuming the black vacuum turns brown from all the dirt and dust coming out of it.

We use our Bissell to vacuum daily. It works beautifully. The only thing that I don't like about it is, the suction part that goes into the "to be emptied" section, gets clogged very easily.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Worst vacuum I've ever purchased

I purchased this vacuum about two years ago for a vacation rental. It is probably used an average of three times a month for 700 square feet of space. Within a few months of use it became incredibly loud. I let that go as it was more of a hassle to ship it back than to deal with the noise. Over the last six months I noticed that it stopped sucking up bits and pieces on the floor. It is now to the point that the vacuum hose doesn't work and it barely vacuums anything. I've never taken the time to post a bad review but I am so fed up with this machine and more so that it is not heavily used. I should not have to replace a vacuum within two years especially when it is used sparingly with light pick-up. It may have been a fluke but this one for me was a complete waste of money.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good, lightweight vacuum

Just purchased this vacuum. Have used one time, so don't have much input on durability. However, it really picks up dust and dirt. The dirt cup is easily removable and easy to open. However, if you have to clean the filter part, as one reviewer mentioned, you have to stick your hand up into the tube and get dirty. I would suggest doing this part outside, if possible. The main drawback, for me, is the electric cord is at the bottom of the unit. So, when you let go of the electric cord and then have to pick it back up again to move the vacuum cleaner around, you have to bend almost all the way to the floor to do this, and the older I get, the more difficult this becomes. I'm trying to remember to lay the cord over the top of the machine when I'm not holding it, but it would have been nice to have it come out near the top of the base instead of the bottom. Four out of five stars for me.
