Worst vacuum ever! Instead of picking up stuff, it blows the stuff back out. The carpet looks much worse after using the vacuum than before!

Overall this vacuum is a very good buy. Lots of quality for the low price. It is only a little heavier than I thought it would be. I wish the on switch was a little higher up, but that is a small thing. It does not lay flat enough to vacuum under chairs. I am comparing it to a much more expensive vacuum I used to have so I am not at all disappointed with this purchase

When I first got this vacuum it worked fine on the rugs and carpet at the beginning but now it only works on hard floors. The hose still sucks with extreme force, so if I want to vacuum the carpet I have to use the attachment which takes a lot longer and the vacuum keeps falling over and hitting me because the hose is so short. I'm really confused as to why I can't use it normally on the carpet any more, it can't even suck up a piece of fuzz that I placed there, it just moves it around. I have cleaned the whole thing and inspected it for any clogs. I can't afford to buy another vacuum, so I either have to live with dirty carpet or take 30 minutes to do one room and end up in a lot of pain by the end.

We appreciate your review. We can get you back to cleaning in no time. First to avoid tipping make sure to have your machine closer to your cleaning area. Make sure the filters are clean. Dirty filters will restrict airflow. The foam filters are hand washable with mild soap. Make sure they are dry before reinstalling. I know you've done some troubleshooting already; however, I wanted to mention a few tips. With the power on make sure the brush is rotating. If this is not spinning there wouldn't be suction. If the brush isn't rotating with the machine unplugged, remove the access panel and check the belt and brush for damage. If parts and filters are needed please see this link: http://www.bissell.com/cleanview/parts/?icid=ccrr A good way to check for clogs in the upholstery hose is to take a broomstick and push it down to remove any hair. Also, check the lower hose for any hair that could stop the suction.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just used it for first time, and I am totally impressed by the one pass technology. It is 100% true to its name. I had recently used my older Shark, and my first use of the CleanView resulted in an already half full bagless disposer. My carpets were that dirty, which actually blows me away. To think that I had been living with such dirt and grime all these recent years really upsets me. Especially in these troubled times, one wants to clean successfully in all ways, even the carpets. I will only look to Bissell products in my coming purchase of a rug shampooer as well. I have no doubt that it will perform as advertised. After all, this vacuum has exceeded even my lofty expectations.
