[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sucks up dirt and dog hair like crazy. Cleans hardwoods very well too. I used to sweep but now I am vacuuming. I used it to vacuum my car and it did great. The only complaint that I have is that the hose is too short really. I had to lift the entire vacuum into the car to ensure that it didn't cause the filters to become clogged with dirt.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a Dyson for the past 3 years and hated how filthy it was and that you cannot clean them. I was searching for a vacuum that has really good suction and is also able to be fully cleaned. THIS VACUUM IS PERFECT! The first time I used it I was blown away, I just kept thinking WOW this is what I have been missing?! It cleaned my carpets 100x better than my Dyson and the fact that I can clean the entire dust bucket and parts within it as well as the filter has me in love. I HIGHLY recommend this vacuum. The price is amazing for the quality that this vacuum is!

My husband and I purchased our new vacuum today. I was shocked, and a bit disgusted by the amount of debris the vacuum had picked up with just one pass. I didn't realize just how much ground-in dirt had settled into our carpets. Our children are 12, eight, and six years old so our carpets see quite a bit of traffic from just our family alone on a daily basis. I am confident in saying that the Bissell family of products have earned new customers for life. Thank you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a decent vacuum. It doesn't feel heavy, I can lift it with one hand, which makes it easy to handle. And, as far as I could tell, it works well on bare floors and low pile carpet. However, if used in somewhat thick rugs or carpets, the wheels get stuck and it becomes impossible to move. The wheels don't seem to be sturdy, they feel weak overall. It's a bit noisy and the knob to change the surface type at the bottom feels like it can break easily. I did have higher expectations based on the specs and the reviews I read before buying it. So, like I said, just a decent vacuum in my opinion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good Price . . . Poor Construction

My wife and I purchased this vacuum after our previous vacuum of 9+ years finally kicked the bucket. We got it for a good price and it felt like we got a good value for our money. For the first month of using it, it worked great: good suction, easy to use, lightweight. We were excited to see how much more stuff this vacuum was picking up that our older one was leaving behind. But less than two months after purchasing it, the major hinge that swivels the base and upright portion broke, requiring a complete replacement of our vacuum. We were able to get a replacement vacuum at no cost, but it took 4 weeks to get! I'm crossing my fingers this second vacuum will last longer than 50 days.

As long as I keep clean the "before motor" filter (sponge), this vacuum runs great and picks up like gangbusters. I love the bagless feature. Easy to empty. Best vacuum I have ever owned.

This vacuum is wonderful. The OnePass Technology cuts your vacuuming time in half. We own this one and a Shark vacuum, and this is now our favorite. It wins as favorite because it has all of the tools on board and a cleaner method of emptying the dirt canister.
