Almost great.

Purchased this rower because of it's magnetic resistance (quieter) and upper weight limit. I'm 6' 3" and 265 lbs, so I wanted to know I was getting a machine w/ a sufficient weight limit.
Generally, I use the Heart Rate program and have been mostly happy with the performance of the HR monitor. I"ve not bothered with maximum resistance, since my emphasis is on low-impact Cardio, and I'm still out of shape enough, that I can get to 85% of max heart rate and stay there w/o tons of resistance.
My biggest complaint is the seat noise and lack of smoothness in it's travel. It feels like the bearings are "lumpy" and is squeaky with each stroke.

This is a quality machine made with durable materials and good workmanship. It's extremely easy to put together. It took me about 40 minutes to assemble it by myself with the provided tools. You can get a great workout on this thing. It's easy to use and the digital display provides you with various helpful information including calories burned, number of strokes, distance rowed etc. The only down side to this machine, and it's a pretty big deal, is the seat is extremely uncomfortable. 3-4 minutes into the workout my rear end is hurting from this seat. after a while the pain becomes difficult to endure and sometimes it forces me to end my workout prematurely . It's a shame really. This one thing ruins, what is otherwise, a very good product.

I bought the rower and experienced no issues at first. It was great - I used it twice a week. Then, at around 6 months, the machine lost all resistance. I called customer service and they were extremely helpful and quickly sent a replacement part.
Unfortunately, now i'm at a point where I can't seem to get the replacement part to work. The resistance went from none at all to the most difficult level. It will not change. Technically I can row but at the most difficult level it's not very enjoyable. I'm sure if I called customer service they would help me again but I am tired of taking the machine apart and back together. It's been a hassle.
I'm incredibly annoyed that I spent so much money on something that broke down so quickly.

Based on the low price, I have to admit I was skeptical, but not anymore. I LOVE this machine! The set up was incredibly simple and it has the glide and stability of the commercial units I’ve used at the gym. Quality that exceeded my expectations, not my budget! Thank you!

Easy to assemble - maybe 30 minutes (one person). Very quiet. I've heard horror stories of "great" rowers being so loud you can't hear anything else, but this one is very quiet. Programs are good. Only bad part is that seat! I tried to do 3 miles, but after 1, I had to get off because my bum was numb. I hated to have to take that break from my workout. You will definitely need a pillow or cushion.

Putting together was a snap. smooth operation---calorie counter and heart rate counter are both very inaccurate. I use a Microsoft fitness band that has been checked. The machine does work very smooth though.

A Top Quality Machine!

I have had this machine for two weeks now and am completely satisfied with its performance and construction. The frame is solid and , despite what other people have said, the seat is perfectly comfortable. The smooth operation and the seamless force adjustment make it a joy to use. The computer control is not only easy to learn, but adds another level of control not found in most rowers. It provides numerous options to provide variety to your workouts and manage all of the needed controls in a simple, clear format. The construction of the machine is top notch and extremely stable. No rocking or vibration to contend with during the most rigorous workouts. if I ever wear out this machine, I'll be buying another one just like it.

Nice machine; unresponsive customer service

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine was recommended by a cardiologist and it has all the bells and whistles, but who needs those? The action and build is very good, seat is fine, quiet as promised. except: with short legs, I tend to bump into the front (and I don't utilize one foot of track, which still takes up space). I haven't figured out how to use the heart rate sensor. In order to fold it, you have to unscrew a large bolt with a handle, and pop a pin. It's not so difficult, but it's not so convenient to do every time. The pulse setting wipes the screen from your workout, so you can't keep records. I have emailed customer service three times, and THERE HAS BEEN NO RESPONSE. I will call them, but wish I could ask questions with the email they provided.
