No Agitator

No agitator leads to all loads being unbalanced. No longer a high efficiency design.

I've copied the same review as below because I had the same thing happen. This machine is discontinued so it really doesn't matter but this machine will never last. Period! Buy another machine.Disappointed in life of servceBy DM GreenFrom Alexandria, VAI received a very short service life from this machine. I purchased my Cabrio Washer and dryer in September 2006. I enjoyed the performance of my laundry set until about three months ago. It started to stop in the spin cycle not frequently at first and the unbalanced load signal displayed.I would have to rearrange the load and start the machine to complete the cycle. About three weeks ago it would not go through a wash cycle without going out of balance and stopping. I checked to make certain the level on the machine was good and there is a whining sound in the high speed spin. I called whirlpool service. The technician said the rods were broken and the bearings in the drum were worn out and need to be replaced. The bearing replacement is a $600.00 job.He recommended I purchase a new machine.I will not buy another Cabrio machine this is not a reliable, durable piece of equipment. I have a household of only 2 people.I never moved this machine to another location to cause tipping or stressing the drum mounts. There was no indication the rods were broken or weak – all of a sudden the machine needs to be replaced. The parts holding the drum in place should not have broken off before the washer is 10 -15 years old. This is not a durable piece of equipment when one has to replace 8.5 years.

Piece of Junk

This washer is around 4 years old. We bought it to replace another washer that was 20 years old and was on it's last leg, I had thought it would be a good investment HOWEVER now after 4 years it takes me over an hour to do laundry because the washer goes off balance at the beginning of the wash cycle and then again at the beginning of the spin cycle. With a 2 year old in the house, a full time job also, I need a washer that works, I don't have time to go to a laundry mat. I will be replacing this washer... what a shame.

High efficiency that cleans great and is a top loader. Has been very durable. Trouble free workhorse other than recent spring replacement. I don't like front loaders, so keep making this model
