This is my first machine, and i learned a fair amount off of it, and had a good time doing so, but after about four months the timing is off and i am constantly breaking upper threads. the frustration factor far outweighs the reasonable price.

This is my second Singer sewing machine purchase. My first machine has been handed down in the family and I purchased this model due to Singer's fine workmanship, quality and ease of use. I have not been disappointed in my new 1507WC machine. It threads easily, stitches perfectly and is lightweight and portable. The bobbin winder is slightly different from my old machine and if not properly threaded, according to the instruction manual, it will leave a very loopy stitch. The instruction manual is very straight forward and easy to read and the trouble-shooting information is a great resource. I am very pleased with my machine. I have just finished my second project, a quilt, and am currently designing a spring fashion suit. Thank you, Singer, for such a fine product!

I have never sewn before, but this little machine does wonders! I sewed a bunch of curtains for less than $40 (not including the cost of the machine) and I can use this for so much more! The only complaint I have is that it's difficult to sew thicker materials on this machine. Tried to sew a dog wiping rag out of an old dishcloth and the machine was just not having it. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but I even looked in the instruction booklet and there was nothing about adjusting for thicker fabrics. Hopefully I can figure it out though! It's a pretty awesome purchase!
