Not happy...

I got this product because I loved the idea of having a streaming device along with a Blu-ray player all in one without having it be a bulky piece such as my Xbox. However I was really disappointed because I have been unable to stream Netflix. I have tried everything that has been suggested by other bloggers and the manual and nothing, it will not work I just keep getting the error code! Needless to say I am very disappointed and therefore returning this product.
Pros: Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

BP550 freezes repeatedly

When selecting the icons at the bottom of the screen, or selecting the 'premium' icon I get the black screen with the red circle (meaning the unit is thinking) then ti goes back to where I started. It does this about 90% of the time.
I have turned off/on, unplugged/plugged, updated the software. Next step is to return it to the store.
Pros: easy to use, Features/Settings

Disappointed

I bought this unit a month ago and find that it freezes most of the time when streaming. I have to unplug the unit just about every time I stream to reset unit. Playing a disk works fine.

I bought this junk 8months ago and it hasn't EVER been able to read a bluray and now it won't read a disk period. Don't waste your money you will be highly disappointed unless you like stuff that don't work properly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for watching French DVD and BD. It does that very well but the UI is the worst I have seen since the 90s. It does not have basic features (e.g. counter for elapsed time) and displays "feature unavailable" regardless of the button I press.

Waste of Money

I bought this in hopes that I could stream Netflix and Hulu from my room. Nope every once in a while it might let me watch Hulu and as far as Netflix goes it has very poor streaming quality. The stupid thing doesn’t turn off with the remote or power button most of the time, I have to unplug it from the wall. Spend the extra $$ on a decent product you won’t be sorry
