Premium Channels

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have two of these blu-ray players, with wi-fi capability to use premium channels. I thought it was just one because it was older, however the new one is doing the same thing. They will stop loading the premium channel images and info. you have to go back, then select the item again then it may display. I have tried powering it off on, even unplugging power completely. But they both new and old blu-rays still do the same thing. Not locking up, just not fully loading menus and images. Like a possible not enough memory. I don't think I will take a chance on buying another LG Blu-ray Player. Two (2) of my LG TV's have premium channels, though one has no HULU. They do not hesitate to load images, also tested with the external Blue-ray players. The problem follows the Blue-ray players. I use the players on an LG TV without wi-fi and premium channels, the problem happens. On the LG TV without HULU but the other premium channels, same issue.

Streaming channels freezing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I 1st purchased this product I have problem with Netflix and Hulu freezing while shows were being viewed, so I put it removed it from my television. Recently I reconnected the player and it is still having the same issues, I was hoping they would have created a fix for this problem. I guess I am the only 1 having this problem.

LG - Fix it, please!

Why hasn't LG done a software upgrade yet to fix the freezing on Netflix streaming? Or why hasn't LG posted something online or on these reviews to give consumers instructions on how to fix? I've done the software update. YouTube works fine. Please LG, for the love of the 3 LG TV's I have, the washer and dryer, and the Refer - Restore my faith in LG with this DVD player and do a software update to fix it!!!!

Good product, missing wanted APP.

Generally LG makes a very good product. One of the main reasons for this purchase is the box shows ability to receive youtube. Youtube app is no longer available for this product. Misleading info on the box. Suggest asking for demo of all advertised apps. I have never had a poor performance from any LG product. I,m taking this product back for missing APP only, NOT poor product quality.

Disc playing fine all other features very poor

Bought this and setup within one hour I'm returning... Wi-Fi receiver is poor so signal is low even close to router, dlna detects your servers but doesn't load any film regardless of "accepted formats crashed twice in the hour and because of poor Wi-Fi on demand services such as Netflix are all but useless very dissapointed LG

I purchased the lg BP550 Blu-Ray Player and I regret spending the Money. The player keeps LOCKING up to where you can only click on setup. It is connected to the internet but keeps asking for updates then fails to load the updates. It will not take manual updates from a flash drive. It is nothing more than a energy using paper weight.
