WiFi Issues, average sound quality

I bought these over a month and a half ago and solely use over WiFi. I thought my initial problems were my WiFi router, but since my purchase I have installed two Airport Extreme routers. Since then I've had plaguing connection issues. Speakers will randomly disappear/reappear. They have refused to connect occasionally. Not sure if it is the WiFi connection on the H3, or the cast feature from Google. I have even connected one of my speakers via Ethernet as recommended.
Sound quality is average. I'm no audiophile, but it sounds like vocals are drowned out by their attempt to boost bass. When no music is being played, a couple of my units have a faint hissing, like audio feedback.
Some of these issues may be fixed with upcoming firmware updates. As they are right now, I cannot recommend.
Pros: Style/Design, Features/Settings
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great sound and connectivity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 of this model speaker and couldn't be more happy with the sound quality. I also have the H5 and I am more impressed with what these little speakers can do. I use them out on my deck in the summer, in my bedroom, and in the living room attached to my LG soundbar as rear surround speakers. LOVE these speakers!
Pros: Style/Design, Performance, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Worked relatively fine until firmware NS7.809.60419.C which has really screwed it up. Stuttering playback after a random period of time. Can no longer be used reliably.

Unable to turn Bluetooth off
on November 17, 2017
Posted by: Fardilha
I have three of these speakers and a really amused neighbor. Since it's impossible to turn Bluetooth off (even when the speakers are on being used on wired mode) or to add some sort of password every once in a while that funny neighbor of mine decides do connect to my speakers and play some of his music. Sometimes around 3 a.m. I really don't understand who could have thought that allowing bluetooth connecting to have priority over wired / wi-fi ones was a good idea. Specially when you don't even need a password to connect. If you don't like to know what's on your neighborhood playlists don't buy one of these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just want to know when LG is going to push through the update that google made available back in June to make these speakers capable of being grouped with chromecast audio devices in googlcast.? Sony updated their speakers in September and are able to be added to groups on googlecast with chromecast audio devices.

Best "flexible" system for the price
on December 8, 2015

I give these speakers a 4/5 stars as part of a system. As stand alone, I would give them 3/5 stars because of the annoying feedback noise they create when not in use. Connecting to WiFi is easy once you know how the system works, but the provided directions and LG videos are HORRIBLE in explaining product features and how the products actually work. I had no idea my speakers had built-in WiFi until I played around with them for an hour with the app. If you don't have the app, you'd think you have to hook the speakers up to a hardline. The app or computer software is a must. I pair them with a LG soundbar and a sub. The sound is very good for the price. But the ease of use/set up is less than intuitive, and every time I want to use them I have to fiddle with the app. I do like that I can move the speakers around my house and outside/garage. A regular home theater system would not work in this way. Based on overall performance and flexibility of the system, I would buy them again. I would also recommend them to friends and family.
