6-Speeds: All fast!

No slow or medium speed settings!!!! You learn this the moment the contents of the mixing bowl cover everything in the kitchen. This is on the lowest setting of 1 mind you! At the maximum setting of 6; you feel as if you are using a high-speed drill in some manufacturing plant. Then for good measure, you have the turbo button if MACH 7 is not fast enough for you.
Really poor engineering and quality control. Far cry from the yesteryear that I grew up with Black & Decker quality.

I have used this mixer to bake two cakes. Well 1.5. It failed making the frosting for cake #2. Sadly, I bought it long enough ago that it is out of warranty. Rememebr when things were made with metal gears and it just lasted? In the name of profits or whatever they just make stuff with cheap PETG gears. Not even nylon. A mixer should laster longer than one completed cake.
Very disappointed. I'm shying away from Black and Decker stuff going forward. The sad thing is that I'm willing to pay for the quality. That means more profits for a premium edition. Now it goes to the dump.

I love B&D, so when I recieced this a while back as a gift, I packed it away for down the road Well when I finally started using it, it has no low speed. Simplest recipe ends up splashed all over.

My old mixer stopped working. Needed a new one and saw this mixer in its own storage case. Colour was black. Has different mixing pieces. Light weight. Easy to handle.

This mixer had great features. However, after using it once I returned it due to the mess it made all over my kitchen. There is no slow speed on this machine! It is just fast with an extra power boost button! Believe me, one would never need that!

I am very happy with my new black and decker hand held electronic mixer. It performs well and the power to mix my cake , potatoes, eggs and even frosting is great . No problems I just wish I would’ve bought it years ago.

Motor Burned Out

I love the storage of the beaters, I love the dough hooks, and I love that the back of the mixer rests on the bowl when I stop to get other ingredients. I'm so bummed--making cookies, the dough was admittedly heavy, but the beaters didn't go too long (under a minute) before it stopped and was burned out. Then, when husband wanted to open unit to see if he could fix, he couldn't open due to a "proprietary screw" which you need a special screwdriver to turn. More plastic waste for the environment. I am SO disappointed.
