Difficult remote, picture not great.

I have another 47" LG and a 55' LG. Both have better pictures and they are 2-3 years old.
The smart remote is too difficult to use having to select letters from a virtual keyboard rather than a hand held QWERTY keyboard.

first LED 3D TV

This is my first LED 3D TV and I am loving it. The TV looks gorgeous. The 3D content looks amazing. Even the browser that comes built in works well.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use

I bought this TV to replace an older 50" DLP that I had for about 8 years. All I can say is WOW! The SmartTV/3d capabilities of this set are amazing. It is aesthetically pleasing, has a great picture, good sound and has blown all my expectations away. I had never owned an LG TV before but I am glad I do now.

For years I have always had an old-school hand-me-down boxy TV that I took from my parents as I went through undergrad and post-grad school. I always envied my friends that had nice flatscreen TVs. My wife and I finally sprung for a flatscreen. After we narrowed down our choices in the store, we were between a 47" LG or a 55" competitor. Even though the LG was slightly smaller, we chose it and couldn't be happier! It was hard to turn away from a TV that is a complete package. It had everything we wanted in our first flatscreen: 45" or greater, thin, LED, 1080p, 120 hz, SMART, swivel, and wall-mountable. 3D capability wasn't really important for us, but it's been fun playing around with the 3D! We've had LG phones, our washer/dryer is LG, and we're glad to see LG's quality extends into its TVs!
The ONLY negative I have about the TV is the YouTube app is bad. We have XBox Live and the XBox YouTube app is much better. The LG YouTube app doesn't let you choose which video to watch. For example, if you click on "Most Popular" it starts from the first video and just plays them in a continuous string. You can't pick which video you want to see.

We've researched several TVs online, looking a higher resolution and 3D. We are happy with the picture in both 2D & 3d. Our provided does have a few 3D channels and the view is great. Try hooking up a 3D blue-ray for even better picture. We took advantage of the optic audio out to run surround sound that is synced with the picture.

Excellent Budget TV

It does basics excellent. HD performance is superb. Standard TV is very good. Didn't need to adjust picture it's good as it's out of the box. It has intelligent sensors to adjust the picture for the room light. There are many options and settings to play with. Connectivity to wireless is very easy. The premium software is great since Amazon is added recently. Only complain I might have is while playing music from Hard-disk you can browse images but it cuts the music if you want to go back to folder view. I hope LG software update will take care of it soon.

Great Smart TV for the price!!!

I purchased this TV a month ago. The picture quality is outstanding. The only problem I've found is trying to play videos on the web. It says you need an updated version of flash player or that you are out of memory.
