My old Frigidaire Range was a 5 star

I'm sorry; I loved my old Frigidaire Range and naturally expected to love this one too. It does look great. I also love that it has knobs and is not all touch screen. I've been using the convection bake and convection roast for two months now and they are fine. The broil function is lacking because there is only one broil setting. I previously had two broils, high and low. This one seems to only have a medium, so it's hard to broil a steak and get it rare inside with a crispy outside like I am used to being able to do. Also, I really miss having an oven timer. With a high end pro range I should be able to set a timer so that my oven automatically shuts off at a specified time. The two timers are nice, but it is true that they are too quiet to hear. Especially when the convection oven is on. The convection fan is very noisy. As far as the burner top goes, I find it very easy to clean and so far have no scratches. The only thing is, you need to wipe it dry after cleaning if you want it to "look" clean. It's nice that one of the burners is dual, but the others should be as well as more small burners are needed. I find that most of my pots fit the smallest burner and there is only one of those so I often have to use a burner that is too wide for my pot, or use a pot that is a larger size than necessary because the pot base should fit the burner size.

Nice Look - poor performance

I bought this "pro" oven less than a month ago. Unfortunately I did not read the small print or the reviews.The timers are inaudible with the noise of the fan, and the oven does not appear to have the ability to set the time to delay start, and shut down when cooking time is finished. This is very poor for a supposedly "high-end" unit. Caveat Emptor I suppose !!

Love this stove

I've had the stove for 2 months now and have not been disappointed. It looks beautiful, the burners all work great, and I love the convection bake and roast feature. The cook top wipes up easily after use. The one thing to be aware of is how easily the burners ignite if you lean up against the dials. I've done it twice now, when cleaning, and when reaching into the cabinet above the stove.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love but handle with care

I love my new Frigidaire professional stove. Purchased in March 2017. One thing to note is the stainless steel surrounding the glass cooktop scratches easily. My husband and I have had to learn the hard way that we can no longer slide cookie sheets or baking dishes onto the stove top. I'm now scared to let friends or family use my stove. So, if you're going to purchase this model keep in mind it requires some extra care.

I'd give it away if I could

I've been cooking with this now for 3 months and only grow to loath it more as time goes by. No temperature display, and the oven temperature knob is quite loose so if you are leaning over the stove to stir something on the back burner, it's easy to move the temperature up- and not notice you've done it. The angled stainless front scratches as you move pots on it. and the timer button as everyone has said is useless. Drop one timer- and give me a temperature display. I hate this range.

Disappointment

I have had this stove for a year and a half and am not very happy with it. The biggest complaint I have is the excessive noise it makes when the oven is on and when I put the cleaning program on it is even worse . A noise that is a vibration tinny rattle type sound that is like torture.
My other disappointment is the cook top. I find it so hard to just keep things at a safe simmer. The only spot to do that is the centre small burner. Without going on and on I will just say I would never recommend this product for its function . I chose it strictly on Esthetics which was a mistake. I will definitely do much more diligent research when I replace this one.

Watch the fit and finish (and the timer)!

Still learning about this range ....
The first range arrived with a non-functional oven. Frigidaire responds within 48hr of your call. Repair guy within the week. Part necessary to be delivered within ~3 weeks. Called Sears and they replaced it immediately.
The second range arrived, stove and oven functional. The space pro element knob (second on the left is at a 20 degree angle to the front surface - probably the underlying mechanism isn't connected on the right within the stovetop. The oven door is not square to the top a few degrees off vertical and standing proud 4-5 mm on the upper left to the upper right.
A call will be made to Sears again, but I'm concerned that this may be how the door are made.
If you are considering purchasing this stove, ask to hear the volume of the timer. It is so quiet you can barely hear it. It definitely would be inaudible if the range fan is working (and we have one of the quietest on the market), or you had company, or a radio on.
This is a bit surprising for a "Professional" line.
The oven and stove appear to do what they are supposed to.
