Wheelchair & Guest Accessible

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit is very quiet! We love it! It is used primarily for a wheelchair-bound person who can't access our standard refrigerator, and for guests in our coffee/beverage area. The ice maker was a must. There was a screw frozen into our first batch of ice but it doesn't seem to have been important!
The only issue we have is that the ice in the bottom freezes into one large block of ice; then the new ice overflows and gets pushed out behind the unit and sometimes keeps the drawer from closing. A person in a wheelchair can't reach in to clear the ice jamb. It would be nice if we could set it to not make so much ice that it overflows.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Also wish freezer drawer would have optional ice maker - takes a lot of room especially if I don’t use it !

Broken icemaker

Looks great but items break easily

Ice Maker does not work

I set this up in Mid July, 2023. It made ice the first 24 hours and then stopped making ice. Service came out first week of August and said there was a kink in water line but he still needed to replace ice maker! He supposedly fixed kink. Well, there was still no ice and no kink in line. Now I'm waiting on a new ice maker for a newly bought product! By the time service comes out, I will probably be past my return date. I would rather have another one without the icemaker. Such a waste of money. Very disappointed. I usually love Kitchen Aid products. Totally not worth the price.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

ice marker has design flaw

The ice level can not be adjusted that I know of and it continues to make too much ice so that the door is unable to close and ice cubes fall into the back of the unit. Ice melted and buckled our wood flooring.
