[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] About 30 days old, but exactly as advertised so far. Superbly even and easily adjustable heat. Yes, the grates are heavy, but I think that makes them more durable. The complaints about difficult to clean seem picky to me. All gas cooktops take some effort. The Duraguard finish really helps, just a soapy rag, rinse and looks great. Also really like the black grates and the black burner covers, as they won't show burnt on specs. Love the simmer burner, I've never had a burner that truly keeps something just warm and not boiling. The steel knobs are so worth the extra paid for this model, very heavy and durable. Also like the spacing of the burners, can get several large pots and a skillet to fit correcty over the burners. I am an everyday home cook, and wish I hadn't waited so long to replace my previous cooktop. This one is a joy.

GRATES TOO HIGH AND HEAVY

I bought this cook top in September 2018. The Grates are way too high so cooking takes longer and the gas consumption has gone up. Compare to my previous Maytag gas cook Top this one is very inefficient . Burners are very unstable and middle gas burner turns the flame completely off while bringing it down to lower setting. Besides easy cleaning i do not find any good thing to say about this product and do not recommend to buy.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful Cooktop!

Best of all, it is beautiful and goes great with all our other new Maytag appliances. love my cooktop

I am very satified with the big burner brings boiling water to boil very quickly. the cooktop is easy to clean although I searched everywhere on the maytag website and didn't really find an answer as to how to clean it. Just basically googled an answer. I like the different sized burners and that you can place a big pot across the whole cooktop.
