Not what I expected.

I bought it 6 months ago. I was cooking soup in a large soup pot. All of a sudden, I noticed that there was a crack across the burner. Nothing dropped on the burner. It merely cracked. I am having another unit put in tomorrow. Let's hope that this one lasts many years.

A couple of months after the 12 month warranty was up, the outer ring of the big burner in the middle went out. It is way too soon for this to happen. This is the last GE product that I will ever buy.

It's fine, but could be better

The range top does the job, but we would recommend two important improvements: (1) the knob descrptions on the surface are not highlighted adequately and can only be read from an awkward angle and (2) there should be better warning lights indicating the burners remain hot after use. If these two improvements are made we would definitely recommend it to others.
