I bought this side by side to replace another GE that was 20+ years old (still working). If fits perfectly in the space in my kitchen and looks great. Friends also have said how great it looks. I loved the freezer baskets that can be slid out to access the food as well as the interior of the refrigerator. The ice and water through the door are great. It has a door alarm in case a child leaves the door ajar too. I have had it for about three weeks and could not be happier. Great buy.

This would be a great appliance if thy would have put LED lighting in it and made the drawers on a tighter tolerance. It is quiet and had a great appearance on the outside and in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

So happy to have an ice maker

In reality, I have a bit less freezer space than in my old GE side by side but I find it is worth it. My adult children recently visited and were thrilled with the easy availability if ice. I use ice to crisp up fresh leafy vegetables.
