Too bad this model doesn't have a more utilitarian icemaker. We use ice a lot in our large household and the ice container is already living on borrowed time. We will likely order an extra. Otherwise the model works for us.

Good Fridge

Overall, a good fridge. Items towards the back of the fridge tend to be colder/frozen due to the placement of the vents. The ice dispenser also occasionally gets jammed , but can be easily remedied by pulling out the ice tray and breaking up the ice a bit so that the revolving piece that dispenses the ice can move.

Space is not efficient, love the in-door dispenser

Refrigerator was supplied by builder. Do not like the efficiency of space with side-by-side, doesn't work for us. Do love the in-door ice & water dispenser though and built in filter system. Would have preferred to keep our old top side freezer but it was 12 years old and didn't survive the move.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This fridge is spacious, has a lot of compartments, and even has a door alarm to signal that the door has remained opened for a period of time.

Excellent replacement for older GE unit

I bought this unit 3 weeks go as a replacement for an older GE unit. I have found many newer features and better adjustable storage areas in both the freezer and refrigerator areas. The unit appears to be very efficient and much quieter, including the ice maker, than my old unit. My unit is stainless steel which is the only minus as the front has to be wiped all the time of finger prints.
I would recommend this to a friend!
