Better than a top freezer

Nice refrigerator, very well made, but heavy. Door has tremendous suction that insures a good seal making it hard to open at times. However, when the door is opened to retrieve something from the refrigerator, the door must be held in one hand if retrieving multiple items because, if it is let go, it is so heavy it will continue opening and bang into the wall. The door cannot be left ajar. Either close it or hold it open. That's a little tricky. Bottom freezer is better than the top freezer but access to it still is not perfect. Hard to get the basket in and out unless the freezer door is fully open. That can be a pain especially in tight quarters. It is easier to stack things in a top freezer than in a bottom basket but that is a tradeoff for easier access to items in the refrigerator.

Pull out vegetable drawers handle is awkard. Freezer shelves should be pull out drawers, who wants to pull out the top shelve and have everything fall off the back of it. The bottom basket in freezer does not roll out easily.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this in June. I have limited space for the refrigerator. This suited my needs, but I was afraid it would seem small. Not so! The interior of the top is great…very well engineered. The bottom seems less so and the drawer is not terribly functional. Also, the ice maker drops ice behind the bin…not so well designed.
The refrigerator door tends to flop open despite attempts to level and eliminate that.

the freezer section has two shelves. Unfortunately only one slides out making it inconvienent for use. The refrigerator section only has one shelf ableto hold tall items. We bought this model to match the other GE appliances.

Freezer door would be nicer had it been a drawer instead of a door and shelves need to pull out. Ice bucket didn't fit and had to use one that I purchased.
