Hopefully just a fluke

I purchased this model after my first choice was unavailable anywhere. Delivery and installation were uneventful. The fridge is beautiful and very spacious. However, less than 24 hours later, the bottom part of the handle on the fridge broke completely away from the door. I'm assuming this was due to a bad or malfunctioning part as opposed to shoddy construction -- at least that's what I'm telling myself. Overall, I'm disappointed that my brand new fridge has already had an issue. Hopefully, nothing else will go wrong, but at this point, I would not recommend this brand or model to a friend or anyone else. On a positive note, I have not had any problem scheduling the repair and the issue is minor (more annoying than anything).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Only refrigerator of size which would fit in our vertical space. Replaced a similar GE of Seven years erlier
