Expensive for the quality and lack of features

A nice looking fridge that fits into smaller spaces The shelf configuration options on the door are awkward. The fruit and veg drawers are very deep and take away from interior space.The drawer material seems flimsy and is very wobbly and rough when opening and closing. The "snack drawer" is a shallow waste of space...I miss having a meat and cheese drawer that all my other fridges had. The freezer basket has no options for compartments, making it difficult to find anything without moving everything else. I saved the drawers from my old fridge and use them as bins in this unit. It isn't an awful fridge but certainly could be a five star with just a few design modifications. For the price it is lacking good quality design, features and materials. The installer had difficulty reversing the door handle, scratched the finish and was not honest enough to tell me. I noticed it after he had gone and was told I would have to have the entire door replaced. I didn't want to deal with a seal that may not seat properly so now own something that looks like it came from a scratch and dent sale. Be sure to ask what the store policy for damage is before puchasing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fills the bill

We were limited on possible fridge sizes due to built-in cabinetry. The upper fridge makes items easier to see and shelving and door configuration makes storage seem equal to 27 year old larger fridge we replaced. Love the patterned shiny black finish - grandkid handprints don't show and wipe off easily!

Bought the refrigerator because it was in the right price range. Love the extra top room. Freezer is smaller than anticipated. Hard to see what is stored in it. Love the ice maker.

So much room!

We had a side by side prior to this refrigerator that, when the shelves stayed on, never seemed to have enough room. This new GE has room to spare and everything in neatly located and accessible.
