Wonderful Style

I had an electric cooktop before, now I have changed to gas and I LOVE this cooktop. It's clean, easy to use and has nice heavy grates that STAY in place. It has the proper heating so I can BOIL water in a timely mannor and not have wait forever. I can simmer on it and not worry about it being too hot. It's wonderful. Thanks for coming out with this little jewel. Yes it is expensive but well worth the extra money. Not keen on the black glass as it is hard to keep clean looking but I manage.

Borderline Unuseable

The grates are uneven. The center support (running left to right) over each burner is much higher than any of the other supports. This causes all pots and pans to rock fore and aft. This is less than ideal for any sort of cooking. The grates are cast so they are not adjustable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just what I've been hoping for,

The glass is so easy to clean. No more heat stains on enamel or stainless steel!I have even put the cast iron grates in my dishwasher after a particularly messy meal. Th style of the grates allows for my large stock pots and roasters.Everyone who comes to see my new kitchen oohs and aahs about my beautiful stove!

Does the job!

This cooktop was installed by our builder in the home we purchased. I like the location of the controls. The cooktop is easy to clean. There is one burner for cooking with small pans at a low temperature and one that works well with my largest pan. The only "con" is that the glass surface doesn't have any surface notches (or small "dips") for the grates to fit into. As a result returning the grates to the surface after removing to clean the top takes some maneuvering to get everything lined up over the burners again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
