Since receiving my S5, I have rarely had reason top use my laptop as most everything I need is instantly accessible on my phone. With 2GB's RAM and a 2.5Ghz quad core processor there's plenty of power to run multiple windows and accomplish your needs even faster. The battery is powerful enough to keep you going from morning well into your night and then some. If you need to keep your phone going even longer simply enable ultra power saving mode. With it's sleek design and large screen with UHD it's a pleasure to watch your favorite movies and shows. I have had many smartphones and none had the features our response that I have with my S5. I am always up to date with all social media, as well as my email and texts. Navigation is simple and the phone is easy to use. I will continue to be a galaxy user long into the future if Samsung continues to release quality products like this.
Fantastic screen, Still one of the best cameras around, Now updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop, Update has improved fingerprint sensor, great battery life, Has microSD, and water resistance
16-megapixel camera; 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen; Android 5.0 Lollipop with TouchWiz
I have owned many Samsung and Apple phones in the past, starting with the very first Galaxy S, S2, Note 2, Iphone 4, Iphone5 and the Galaxy S5 is the best phone I have used. The display is beautiful, 1080p in your hands but also Super AMOLED so the blacks are pitch black. Watching videos are actually better on this phone than my 75 inch TV. The S5 is fast and the mobile data connection and WIFI connection is really sensitive and can pickup weaker signals than most other phones. Samsung did a great job on the RF performance module this time around for this phone because everyone around me at work will have weaker signals or dropped calls with their Iphones or Androids but my S5 will have no problems (all of us on same carrier). Anyways I have a 128gb MicroSD card installed so that's a total of 144gb! The Camera on the S5 is awesome, video can be recorded at 60fps in 1080p which looks amazingly fluid. So many great things to talk about. Now for some downsides, like the waterproof cover on the bottom of the S5- that is one of the most irritating designs about this device. I understand that its for waterproofing but I really wish there was some other way besides a flap of plastic that has to be constantly opened or closed, especially with a case it becomes very difficult. Speakers are not great like on some other phones but I dont really listen to media on speakers anyways. The other downside is that Touchwiz is very "heavy" and needs to be toned down or removed, but nothing that installing a 3rd party launcher wont fix. I've started using the Galaxy S6 Edge now and I can already say that I'm missing my S5s size, expandable storage, and removable battery. Its so great to be able to swap out a battery on those heavy use days. Thats another great thing about the S5- the battery life is really good, then you have the option of Ultra Power Saving mode for those times where you really need longevity in your phone for the sacrifice of media consumption- another smart idea. Finally, why would you buy an Android phone- for the freedom that Android allows. Being able to transfer media via Wifi, bluetooth, USB OTG, Drag and Drop, NFC pairing, etc...so many ways..The S5 is a great flagship phone that will be relevant for many years.
