I had the original Note for two years before getting this phone and was worried about not liking it as much because the screen size is a little smaller. After getting used to the smaller screen size, I have to say the features of this phone are way better that my Note. II especially like the fact that it is water resistant and rugged. I use this phone for geocaching; therefore, it is subject to the elements. I bought a clear glass screen protector and an Otterbox commuter case to help with keeping my phone in pristine condition. This phone has an awesome camera with so many more features than my old Note. I highly recommend this phone for anyone looking for a fast and capable phone that can do just about anything you need!

Great functionality in a smart package

After a number of years using HTC phones, I decided to switch to the Samsung Galaxy S5 initially to simplify my life as I had purchased a Samsung Note 10.1 and wanted to deal with a consistent interface.
I have been delighted with my choice. The S5 is the perfect size and offers all the functionality I need. The voice and data communications are excellent and the camera quality is surprisingly crisp for a phone.
Performance is good with smooth visuals and quick response times. The display is excellent being easy to view in all levels of lighting.
Battery life is inline with most smart phones and easily lasts all day with moderate to heavy use.
Overall a great product and worthy competitor in the smart phone space.

The best phone I have ever had, a few changes I would like to see is to put speakers in the front instead of the back and to be able to download home and lock screen live wallpapers. Love how bright the phone is and the how I can actually hear when talking to someone on the phone.
