It is a new world with the Galaxy

Have had the Galaxy for two weeks after an iPhone for 6 years and it has been tough making the conversion. I love the look, size and feel of the phone but still having trouble getting all the settings set up right! There are a lot of cool features and it keeps me busy trying to figure them . My two children ages 23 and 30 love the phone and are adapting much better. My 74 year old mother is happy she can play solitaire but becomes frustrated over the bells and whistles.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color
Cons: to many settings

Amazing durability

I have three crazy dogs and had left my phone laying on the ground, one of them thought it was the perfect place to use the bathroom, good thing it's water resistant I was able to rinse it off in my faucet with no faults after. A couple weeks later I was attempting to drop my device in my purse and missed, I watched my phone bounce down the 10 concrete steps. A couple of dings, but the screen is perfect
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight

Good, but not great

Good fingerprint scanner, voice commands & dictation. Good camera, except in low light. Good textured plastic back, compared to heavier, thicker, scratch & dent prone aluminum. Good battery, but flimsy charging port cover. The rest of the phone is water resistant without additional covers, why isn't the charging port? Optional wireless charging increases the phone's thickness & may not be compatible with protective cases, other than Samsung's flip case. It lags occasionally, even after turning off & clearing most options that might cause it. Also, comfort in the hand would be improved if it had longer radius corners to decrease the pressure point. Stereo speakers should be on the left & right side of the screen & one could double as the earpiece.
Pros: Bright display

I love this phone I have been with apple since the 1st iPhone, I just switched over to the Samsung and I love this phone it has all the features and benefits of the iPhone plus more, and I would recommend this product to anyone, nothing against the iPhone I loved it since the 1st iPhone, but it was time for a change and iPhone needs to do something different because in my opinion every phone seems to be the same year after year, but the time I had my iPhone I loved that as well

Great Phone, long battery life!!

I recently moved up from a Samsung Galaxy SII to the S5; I must admit that I was anxiously awaiting the upgrade month in order that I could acquire this marvelous device.
At first the "active applications/last used application" button was difficult to get used to. The fingerprint scanner is fantastic. Using Smart Switch I was able to rapidly transfer all pertinent data from my old phone to my new one, The display is top notch, as is battery life!!! One of the failings of the SII was (to me anyway) a short battery life; so far I would say that the engineers got it right this time.
I can not testify as to it's waterproof attributes, as so far I haven't immersed mine in water. It is a lightweight phone, even in a Otter Box Defender case.

Great Phone

This is a GREAT phone.. I love the display. The camera is GREAT, I do however wish the pictures came up better when zoomed in, but this is a camera phone not a professional camera, so, that part is understandable. I love the size of the screen. I love the S Health app, it's perfect for someone who is trying to change their lifestyle, or is trying to keep up what they're doing for their health a little bit easier. The heart rate sensor is great, not sure it's always accurate though, the same for the stress part in the S Health App. In the end, I'm happy I got this phone.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, great apps built in, great sound
Cons: zoom on camera not great

I wish I could reach a few features like music, the flashlight and airplane mode from the lock screen. And that maybe I could change the color of the calender. And some more widgets would be cool but otherwise I absolutely love this phone!
