The s5 is by far the best phone I've ever owned, this one actually does have a few SC reen issues, but they are minor and the phone functions wonderfully, the design is sleek, it's light and incredibly thin, this is actually my 2nd s5 now and that is only because when my first one finally died after 3 years (the longest a phone has ever lasted me) I decided I was getting another of the exact same phone. Quality over quantity, I love the galaxys, but the s5 is still the best design yet
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, perfect

I've had this phone for about a month and am very satisfied so far. It is capable of doing much more than I need a phone to do. It fits comfortably in my hand (and my pocket) and can easily be operated with my thumb. Unlike some of the larger phones. The battery lasts well over 12 hours and if I am out and unable to charge it, the ultra power saving mode provides me with more than enough battery life to make it home (over 2 days at 50% charge). I am still learning my way around it but absolutely love the Samsung Health app and heart rate sensor. I use this every day during my workouts. The voice recognition is pretty good. I prefer to use that over typing because my fingers are pretty large. A couple of things that annoy me are: I had trouble hearing the notifications then noticed the speaker is on the back. It's definitely louder if I lay it face down but then I can't see the display. Some of the calendar reminders have to be acknowledged multiple times before they finally go away. Updates change the settings and even the name of an app when installed (S-health turned into Samsung Health for example ). I'm running Android 6.0.1.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight

Long Lasting Phone

I've had my S5 for almost 4 years it's a great phone still works perfectly after all this time. Only problem was the battery was never designed to be as powerful as the phone other than that no issues. It out lasted my Galaxy S7 which had great battery performance, but couldn't take a drop on the ground.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight
Cons: battery life not long enough

Great Daily Driver

This phone has been my daily driver for the past two years. I have Lollipop installed and I am using NovaLauncher prime. The phone works flawlessly with very little lag. I was always bummed out that the storage was only 16G. I installed a 128G SD card and I would transfer my media regularly to free up space on the phone. Alas, I will be saying goodbye to this longtime friend - I'm getting the Note 8. I would recommend this to anyone who uses a phone for texting, pictures, social media an a phone. I never used it for gaming, but I would say the specs are getting old now.
Pros: Bright display, Inexpensive, Lightweight, size
Cons: speaker, build quality

This is a brick after less than 2 years

Component failure June 2016
Fixed under warranty July 2016
Same problem again, now (Sept. 2017) and warranty is expired.
Maybe I just got a "Lemon"? This was poorly designed.
