It was great till I paid it off then started having all kinds of problems.

Back cover needs replacing

After owning several Samsung products, Samsung should be embarrassed to use such a cheap back cover. Since day one the cover was never tight. I would pick the phone up and the cover would fall off. Then I started to notice pieces coming off. Just not the quality I expected from Samsung. This phone is just OK due to the sound quality being sub par with the S3 it replaced.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Budget-Friendly Option

This is a very good Price-to-Performance cell phone. It has a nice 4 core CPU and a nice 1080p screen. The loud high-def speakers are very nice and out performs any IOS device on the market. One thing that I dislike is that the cheap plastic back plate cracks very easily. Another con is that unlike IOS, android 4.4.4 does not automatically compress files on the internal SD card. This results in the storage filling up very easily, with very low room for pictures and videos. But you can easily fix this issue with an external SD card, which is another Pro of this phone. One more thing that doesn't come on IPhones and some newer androids is that you can replace the battery. This is very good due to the fact that batteries can start leaking fumes when they become older.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive, Built-in speakers, customizable

Solid and dependable phone

I've had my s5 for over a year now and it's still running much better than I'd expected. Camera is great, tons of settings to play around with for most applications, the speaker is a decent volume for the size of the phone. The only issues I've run into are the battery drains exceedingly quick and when it starts to get low the screen flashes colors if the acreen brightness is low and you basically can't use it during that.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, great camera and studio application to go with it
Cons: Did not meet expectations, bad battery life and small screen glitches
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

2 years on and my phone has been through a lot. Still chugging on and holding up with modern apps. Just preordered my s8 and look ever so forward to what comes with that
