This is a great device, functions smoothly and everything. This is my first ever smart phone. However, sometimes when its charging, it tends to get a bit warm, but I'm guessing that's normal
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Lightweight

Reliable device with Best In Class Camera!

Awesome 16 MP Camera with lots of camera options and features! Water resistant, although I've never had to use that feature. The only flaw I've noticed is that the charging port cover is easy to tear off and there is no option I've found to replace it. I used this device for a year and never had any significant issues with it. If I was on a budget, I would definitely use this device again!
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight

Front camera partially blokced by loose piece internally

Been taking good care of the phone with protective shell and screen protector. Never drop the phone. Just past day, found a loose piece of part partially blocking the front camera, half of image cut-off now. Very disappointed with my first Samsung phone.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The best smartphone I have owned

This phone has the best battery life of any phone I have ever owned not to mention the many features that come with it like the finger print scanner for unlocking. All in all I just love this phone.
Pros: Durable

Glad I switched from iPhone to Galaxy

Although iPhone had many features, I found the Samsung Galaxy S5 more in concert with Window's based products in operation and familiarity with what I was used to, and it even has a "back" feature. Instantly my file management, configuration utilities, and understanding how to navigate was considerably easier than the iPhone. Music management - OMG, how wonderful not having to iTune this or that.
Bottom line, I find the phone very user friendly, easy to operate with phone, file, and internet capabilities. Most of the con's I have are related to my Phone Service which does not allow me to use all the capabilities of the S5. I occasionally experience Bluetooth connectivity issues and have to reset BTor restart. (phone issue ?)
Pros: Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, ease of use
Cons: bluetooth functionality issues
