Terrific upgrade

I upgraded from an s3 to this s5. One of the best decisions ever made. Stronger battery life, smoother app activity. Clear display and better sound. Great for streaming video and listening to music. The 3 was good. The 5 is that much more better. Plus the upgrade didn't cost me a penny. Always a plus.
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Bright display, Built-in speakers, Durable, Lightweight

The good
Samsung's Galaxy S5 excels at everything that matters -- Android 4.4 KitKat OS; a bright, beautiful display; blistering quad-core processor; and an excellent camera experience. In addition, Samsung's efforts to streamline its own custom interface and reduce pre-installed bloatware pay off.

The Galaxy S5 is a only small upgrade over the Galaxy S4. The fingerprint scanner can be confusing to use, and the heart-rate monitor is a niche feature at best. In some regions, the Galaxy S5 costs significantly more than rival top-rated handsets.

Here's why the Samsung Galaxy S5 should grab your attention: it looks good, it performs very well, and it has everything you need to become a fixture in nearly every aspect of your life. But, like a candidate running for reelection, the GS5 gets where it is today based on experience and wisdom, not on flashy features or massive innovation.
With the exception of a few nonessential hardware and software additions -- like the fingerprint scanner and novel heart-rate monitor -- and a few design tweaks, you're pretty much looking at the same phone Samsung released in 2013. The S5 is more of a Galaxy S4 Plus than it is a slam-the-brakes, next-generation device; it makes everything just a little smoother and faster.

This phone is so good especially when you can make use of its features.I had wanted the Samsung Galaxy 6s initial but could not afford it.So I settled for this and it doesn't seem am missing anything.I just love this phone

There needs to be a way to override the low light auto focus... that easily provides a bad picture since you have to hold the camera steady for a few seconds. I had an S3 that I took pictures in very low light without a low light auto focus, and they came out good, because while it auto focused, it did not take moments to focus.
The microphone does not provide good quality. That is with the voice recorder, video recorder, phone, and many times with voice commands/searches.
Other than that, this phone is sweet.
Pros: Realistic color, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: low light auto focus, microphone
