Great camera!

I've had this phone for a little under 2 years now, and I'm reviewing this phone as it stands compared to current new phones.
Performance can be a little slow if running too many applications at once, and battery life drains really fast when using apps involving the camera - especially snapchat (even with some battery-draining features turned off).
But the camera that you do get is pretty amazing, even compared to the most recent smartphones on the market, and I would say it's this product's best feature. Well, the back-facing camera is at least. the front-facing camera still records in 1080p, and takes high resolution pictures, but there's a lot more digital noise on these images in my experience. And the edges of the image tends to be warped and have sort of a fish-eye effect when taking selfies close-up (similar to the way Go-Pro cameras look). I assume this is a side effect of having the capturing lens try to have as wide a field of vision as possible for selfies that may have more than one person in them; however, I have never personally liked this.

Either way, if you're looking to buy an older phone to save on money, I would definitely recommend the S5 over the S6 due to the fact that the S5 has expandable storage with SD cards and the S6 does not. the front-facing camera on the S6 is a bit better, but the back-facing cameras are pretty comparable to each other in terms of quality, so if you need a good camera phone for more landscape or even film projects and don't really need to use the front-facing camera much, I'd say to save the few extra bucks and go with the S5 over the S6.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, Built-in speakers, awesome back-facing camera!
Cons: fish-eyed front-facing camera

love this phone, my only critique is that when I installed a protective case on the phone, it interfered with reception as well as the speakers and microphone. The case was made for this model phone.

Overall Great Phone but speaker isn't very loud

I upgraded to this phone from a Galaxy S3. There were a lot of differences, many of them good. Since owning the phone for 10 months, I am still happy, however the speaker is not very loud. When I play videos or music from Youtube, i have to cup my hand on the speaker side or plug in external speakers or headphones. It makes sharing videos with friends just a little harder (because I need those speakers) compared to everyone else.
Other than that, I love the phone and I plan on sticking with Samsung's stuff for future phones!
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, fast-processing
Cons: speaker not very loud
I would recommend this to a friend!

I am a little behind that times as I am just getting this phone now even though it is about 4 years old. I dont change phones much due to the fact that I do need too. I upgraded from a S4 and in my opinion the S5 has too much going on feature wise. My son told me that he would do another upgrade next years to an s7 to bring me closer to the real world.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: touch wiz is to much

I love the phone but the only I am not happy about is the battery life on this phone is horrible. It doesn't like to hold a charge hardly at all. I wish I could buy myself a newer phone like the Samsung galaxy S8 or S9 but I can't afford it sadly right now. Otherwise it's a good phone just battery life sucks with it

This is an insurance replacement phone that came with comment "reconditioned" so this one still has issues. Put protective case on it and signal bars drop to 2. Try to use speaker phone and the person on the other side of the all can't hear me.
Pros: Lightweight
Cons: Poor quality
