The RPA series has been our standard for the past 5 years and has performed flawlessly. It's robust design and craftmanship have proven themselves over time, and I won't use anything else. This is one of only a handful of 'set it and forget' products that I have found in the A/V space. Looking forward to more innovations from Chief.
Pros: durability and ease of installation
Cons: adjustable tensioning would be a great option.

This is my go to mount for all projector installation. Easy to set up, easy to configure, works with anything, set and forget.
Pros: works with anything
Cons: needs to come in a zip lock bag to hold spare part

I have used the RPA projector mount on a large variety of projectors and find it very quick and easy to use every time. Almost effortless installation
Pros: works with many manufacturers projectors

The Old Reliable

This mount have been my organization's choice for many years. It allows us to use it in many of our existing 1.5" NPT mounting columns as well as adapt them with non-NPT pipe columns and plates. In my experience, Chief have always made the SLB bracket available for new projectors in a timely manner. One caveat though, there is a tendency for the NPT thread set screw to jam with one of the pivot screw washer, but since I always use the security screws, it is a temporary problem for me.
Pros: adaptability in existing columns/plates
Cons: set screw gets caught with a pivot screw washer.

Great new style

Our integrator has been using the RPAU for more than 8 years here at our campus. The newly designed universal mount is a DREAM COME TRUE. No longer is it the "Erector set from _ _ _ _" The new styling allows set-up in less than 10 minutes.
The universal mounting plate system makes swapping out a projector when a classroom is down quick and simple.
Now I wish that the easy leveling of the Mini-Elite would be carried over to this model. Those look a lot easier to level and aim.
Pros: simple easy to install great design
Cons: leveling - still takes 12 screws to adjust
