Great addition to the kitchen

So far it has been great. Cuts cooking time in half from an electric range. Only issue is if you have to put the fan on high it does pull the flames. We rarely have to do this so in all other setting it is fine.

The builder installed this when I insisted on a down draft cook top as I do catering. The small rubber feet fall out all of the time. Cleaning the filter area is fraught with danger as there are exposed screws that scratch me, the filter well has rusted twice. The fan assembly takes up most of the cabinet underneath. Cleaning the burners is a real chore as they are too big for my laundry tub, never mind my kitchen sink. I have been assured the whole thing was installed to spec. Don't waste your money.

I just had it installed brand new out of the box and the burners work sometimes. One of them doesn't have a spark at all! It is very frustrating to spend this amount of money and need service immediately.

great look - poor vent

I just purchased this on-line. I love the clean lines, look and glass top surface. Only issue is when the vent fans is on hi it sucks in the flames for uneven cooking. Bigger problem the cooktop did not come with the proper vent assembly and I'm still looking for a long enough vent shaft to connect the down draft.
