Works and looks great!

While it's beautiful it's a major pain to clean and keep beautiful. The installer said I should polish and clean it daily. Daily? Are you kidding me? The black glass top shows everything. I would not recommend if you do a lot of cooking. If you just need a beautiful looking appliance it's beautiful. This was a downdraft replacement from our home warranty company. We had no say in choosing this appliance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love the flat surface for cleaning!

Upgraded from older cooktop. This one the downdraft works so much better. Ease of cleaning with flat surface.

Great stovetop

My second one, I like that this is flat and not recessed on the cabinet, makes it much easier to clean. The fan takes up a lot of room under the cabinet So if you’re putting this in as a replacement be careful it can be hard to hook up to existing vent work
Wish I could have used a 36 inch wide but it would not fit

Easier to clean that previous models with trays.

This was a replacement for a prior generation of GE Profile gas cooktop. Overall, this one is easier to clean, as it doesn't have the removable trays, burners, etc, making cleanup as simple as lifting the grates. However, the glass surface is a bit harder to keep free of smudges, etc.

Take Some Getting Use To, But I Love It!

Took up more space underneath than I would have liked, causing me to relocate several items, thank God my kitchen is very large and I have plenty of cabinets.

Love my new cooktop

I replaced all of my GE kitchen appliances with updated models,and was lucky to find this cooktop from a distributor after GE stopped making it. There aren't many manufacturers of gas downdraft cooktops now, and it was really the best option for my kitchen. I really like this cooktop. The grates sit up higher than my last model, which works well for me. It's nice to have the variable speed fan. Others have complained that it's hard to clean. I actually think it's easier to clean than my last model. And it really looks nice in the kitchen.
