Awesome Cooktop!

I have been wanting a gas cooktop for a while. Searched for awhile and finally landed on this one. Love the sturdy grates and modern design. Easy to clean (the grates are easily removable). The glass beneath the grates is black. Looks grey in the photo. It would not be easy to see in a photo what the cooktop looks like if the photo showed the glass as black. It would be a black square. On one side there is a bigger jet for a bigger pot and a smaller one for a smaller pot. The downdraft is strong. This is a sturdy-looking solid gas top. Exactly what I wanted. I've had it for about a month and I have no complaints. Loving it!

Easy to ignite

The look is nice and the BTU’s are good but its too expensive for having plastic knobs once again. My old ones melted. I do like the exhaust fan speeds...hi/med/lo. But also after 20 years, the fan is still loud, no improvement has been made about that. Also the grates scratch the bottom of my pans. I had to use Goof Off to remove safety stickers. But the guarantee fit was spot on!! It’s not worth its price, though.

Great gas stove top

Did a lot of research on gas stove tops. We’ve been cooking on electric tops for the past 15 years. Finally switch over to gas and you don’t know how much we enjoy it.
Easy to clean, great functions.
Will never go back to electric.

I am pleased with the overall appearance and how quickly and efficiently it heats. It was easy to install with a few minor fabrications to the ducts for the downdraft. Only issue is my downdraft fan switch broke off after the 1st use. I will be contacting GE about it.
