I've owned many GE cooktops and this one is the best for downdraft needs. Much easier to clean than other cooktops.

Purchased this GE Profile downdraft gas cook top to replace a JenAir. The GE lights easy, whereas the JenAir would not . The GE cooktop has an even flame, burns clean. The GE has clean lines and I especially like the grates, there is no coating to come off over years of use. I've owned GE appliance in the past, but this is my first Profile unit. Was not sure the unit would be worth the additional price, but so far I love the overall looks, and quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It replaced an older GE Profile 30" Built-In Gas Cooktop with Downdraft. and fit right in existing location. No problems with install and works GREAT!!!!

Propane Ready - Replaced the same model from 2004

This unit was so good for 16 years, we decided to just get the newest version. We like the flat black grills and flat black vent cover versus the glossy ones we had before. The regulatory/safety stickers are ridiculous on the glass service but they came off with Goo Gone, but we had to spend an extra 20 minutes getting those off. With propane it's a great cook top. We don't have kids or pets so cleanup is a snap. If I had kids with fingerprints and messes, be ready to work to keep this one shiny. Here is the old one and the new one in the pics. Also if you are doing Propane I included a snapshot of the regulator.

Really loud fan! Sounds like a train! A product this expensive should be much more quiet!

I bought this to replace my old GE Stove Top

I bought this to replace my old GE Stove Top and am very happy with it. The burners are much easier to use and the amount of heat is easier to control and more precise. I thought the air vent fans might be a little less noisy than the last one but unfortunately they are not but they do have 3 settings as opposed to 1 so an improvement.
