Great features!

Needs to be cleaned constantly. Chrome trim does not sit right. And have a scratch already, don't know how. Had for 2 months.Downdraft is freezing!

Cooktop Purchase

Have not used, but had I known (1) it had a porcelain surface, and (2) Vent system was not compatible with my existing installation area, I would have looked at other options. Cleaning the surface on a previous GE electric model was extremely time consuming and difficult.

Beautiful!

This was a replacement for another glass cooktop. It works great delivering powerful heat over a safe beautiful surface. My only complaint is that the knobs are plastic. My old stove had nice brushed stainless steel ones. These seem more breakable.

Looks nice but not practical

This looks nice in the pictures and sitting on your counter if you don't cook a lot. Not the most practical as the super smooth surface means that if you get any spillage it flows all across the cook surface and then down onto your counter. The air intake is very deep which means that anything falling into the air intake could be 30 cm down and you have to reach all the way in to pick up anything that falls in. Feels like this was designed by an engineer/marketer who doesn't cook.
On the upside, fan is very strong. Pulls in a lot of the the smoke and cooking smells.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Efficient cooking. Easy clean-up

This unit was replacement for an earlier gas powered enamel cooktop. This one has much easier ignition and has much better low flame control. The glass cook top is quite easy to clean, and leaves a streak free finish if you finish up with a swipe of rubbing alcohol

I replaced my old GE cooktop that feels and look premium. This product however looks cheap and materials feel inferior.

Beautiful and functional

I bought this on line without being actually able to see a physical model and it was just as pictured. It works great and looks great as well. I have had an electric cooktop for 38 years and I am excited to be able to go back to a gas cooktop. It was fairly easy to install after running a gas line.

I bought this because it was my only choice in a white downdraft stove top and I am thrilled with it, it looks great in my remodeled kitchen, it works great for all my cooking.
