Good organizer

I love my Palm Z22!! It's very easy to use and the battery life is awesome! I've only charged it once in about three weeks! I own a Dell Axim x51 and it was a great pocket pc, but I never used all of the features it had. Plus, once I switched over to Macs, I was unable to sync my Axim on my Mac as there is no native compatibility. (The only way I would've been able to use it was to buy more software.)The Z22 (and other Palm products) is compatible with Macs as well as PCs. I only needed an organizer with the basics, such as a calendar and a task list; I also like to play games. The Z22 is more than efficient for my needs and it's been very useful these past few weeks! The only con is the screen resolution; if you decide you want to put some of your photos on here they'll look grainy and washed out as well as all other graphics. This isn't a big deal for me since I didn't buy it for that feature.
What's great about it: easy to use excellent battery life small size syncs with Macs
What's not so great: poor screen resolution

Z22 Palm

This is a great buy for basic calendering, small notes. I think that I would have proabably upgraded to the Tungsten E3 if I could justify the double price.
What's great about it: I replaced my Palm M130 with the Z22. The screen is much clearer than the M130, but a bit smaller. Battery life is much better than the old PDA. Well worth the money for the features, particularly the calendar and notes. Additional included software has many uses.
What's not so great: Not all add-on pprograms were restored because of incompatibility with the new OS, and the Z22 didn't come with Documents to Go. Graffitti 2 required retraining myself, after years of using Graffiti on my original M130. The Z22 only has 2 easy-access buttons, as opposed to 4 on my old PDA.

Handheld Palm Z22

I would definitely recommend it to friends since for me it has taken the place of a bulky agenda-notebook.
What's great about it: It is easier to use than other handhelds I have tried. I like using the stylus on the "keyboard" on the screen rather than using a tiny, push-button keyboard as most other handhelds have. The calendar & tasks features are quite helpful. I can even keep it in my purse to check on appointments and lists rather than having to make little paper notes that may get misplaced. Synchronizing certain information to it from my Dell Notebook is easy & always successful. I also like that certain games may be downloaded from the web onto the handheld by synchronizing the two.
What's not so great: None so far.

Palm Z22 - Just what I needed

Overall, not bad bad for the price.
What's great about it: Holds all my info. Easy to use. Easy to upload new programs. Decent clarity. Great for Geocaching, keeping appointments, phone numbers, and everything else I can think of. Excellent battery life.
What's not so great: Poor clarity. Needs more memory. Needs to be easier to see outside in the daylight. Could use more options for changing the Backgrounds, fonts, colors, and such.

Life after a Day Planner

After being a paper calendar person for so long I was VERY hesitant to switch to a Palm but figured I would join the technology era that is growing around me. Now I can't imagine how I lived with out it. It's nice to be able to hit the repeat box to have the recurring meetings show up as requested. It's so much more compact that I can carry it with me all the time in my purse and never miss an appointment!!! Oh yeah, Splashshopper rocks too! It keeps track of my grocery list! - One word of advise is to get the screen protectors for it!!!
What's great about it: Compact, easy to use, good for someone switching from the paper calendars.
What's not so great: The only con I really have is that I bought one software to load on it and that program crashes all the time... but other than that I love my Palm!!!!!

Zire beats Z22
on August 3, 2007

Luv my Palm Zire & thought I was upgrading with the Z22. Transferred all my data and before a week, the battery died and all my info was lost. So I recharged, synced the data again. But before a week of use, the battery died again (though the data was not lost). Whether I use it or not, the z22 is not reliable. I recommend the Zire or better but not the z22.
What's great about it: Price, backlight, features, size, sync ease.
What's not so great: Battery life makes it useless! If upgrading from Zire, graffiti is not as easy to use (i.e. the i and t require 2 strokes, not 1)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

PalmZ22 Handheld

I just started a job running a very busy cultural center and my Palm Z22 has helped me become much more organized; it has made my job a little easier. No more telling myself, "I wish I had that phone number" or "I wish I could remember when that appointment is" or "Am I clear on that day and time?" Thank You.
What's great about it: Even someone like me who can't get a DVD going on my television was able to install the software and get my Palm Z22 set up and running. Most gadget instructions sound like a bad translation from a foreign language but I found the instructions amazingly easy to understand. I took all my contacts and calendar appointments from my Outlook program and transferred them into my Palm Z22 in less than 20 seconds.
What's not so great: Touchpad is a little sensitive, but it's nothing that can't be worked with.
