Awesomeness!

This product works really well, and has enough sound for my whole bedroom. It also works with my iPhone 5 case. I don't know what all of your other cases are like, but my case fits fine in the docking station. Also, it says that it has a SOFT light, so at night you don't hurt your eyes while looking at it. And finally it does NOT say that it is an alarm clock, therefore it doesn't have to be. I would highly recommend this product for anybody who is looking for a speaker with enough volume to fill a bedroom.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy and simple to use

Speakers are great for my girls 12x 12 bedrooms. Simple to use. For the value of this product it's what we were looking for. Would recommend.
Pros: simple and and speakers are great.

Not what I expected

Can't be used as an alarm as it goes into a sleep mode after 15 minutes and phone alarm won't play through speakers. Clock illumination also shuts off so you can't see the time with out waking it up. Does sound ok for a small device but the clock and alarm features are useless due to the sleep mode after 15 minutes.
Pros: sounds good clean design
Cons: function is not what it was sold as.

No alarm

Dock should not fall asleep after 15 minutes. Useless for bedrooms because no alarm-app will wake him up. Poor light.
Pros: good sound, solid stand for iphone, extra usb
Cons: no alarm, asleep after 15 minutes, not compatible with sound dock app

Silly Product

It would be one thing if I had the wrong expectations about what the product is, but even on the Philips web site, it advertises the clock as a great item for your bed side table. If you can't use it as an alarm clock in any way, why in the world would you put it on your bed side table? It's just amazing to me. I can't imagine the meetings inside Philips where somebody said, "I have a great idea! Let's build a speaker dock with a clock, but no alarm. Then, although any other speaker dock would properly play music from the iPhone when the iPhone alarm is used, lets make that impossible too just so it's clear that this is not an alarm clock. It's a speaker dock that happens to have a clock."
Pros: nice physical design., speakers sound good for playing music.
Cons: no built in alarm clock, does not function properly with iphone alarm, impossible to use as alarm clock

The clock display is to dim to be viewable in normal room lite

The clock display on this unit is so dim it can not be easily seen in normal room light, even on its highest setting. It does function well as a speaker and charging dock. I returned my first unit thinking it was just defective but the second one was just as dim.
Pros: lightening connector
Cons: display too dim

I wanted a speaker dock with a clock on it that would be nice at night. And this does it perfectly. Great sound too. I love that it gets the time from my phone, one less thing to worry about.
I use my phone for alarms and whatnot, I don't *want* an alarm clock.
The low * reviews are nonsense. If it doesn't do what you want, return it, don't whinge on the internet.
This is a beautiful quality product.
Pros: great sound, stylish, nice clock readout

Doesn't fit with ANY cases

There must have been another rocket scientist in the design meeting for this that insisted that this wouldn't work with ANY iPhone case. So now I have to pry off my case to use it each night… not very convenient.
