Great fridge

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We've had this refrigerator for two weeks now and couldn't be happier. It looks fabulous, the handles are so sleek and we don't have to bend over to get our veggies now that the freezer is on the bottom. The ice maker is making plenty of ice. And the refrigerator is quiet. I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great Refrigerator - love the design of the drawers and the half shelf or full shelf idea if you need the space for just a half shelf then you can put taller containers - perfect.
The freezer has so much room

Stupid design issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This refrigerator looks great with what would seem to be a wonderful design. But in practical use, it has a major, really brain-dead design flaw: the drawers come out less that half their depth. For the crisper drawers, this makes items in the back very hard to access, and if you lift the drawer past its natural stop point, it falls out of its casing completely very easily. For the long bottom drawer, this means that items toward the back are no only inaccessible, but completely invisible, rendering more than half of the drawer volume essentially unusable. Surely they could have designed the drawers to pulled out much further! I use the drawers constantly, and this is such a stupid oversight that it would prevent me from buying this model again.
(I also wish that manufacturers would make quality refrigerators without water dispensing systems and automatic ice makers, features which we have zero interest in and do not use, since some 90% of service calls are plumbing related. But that's a different issue...)
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Glad I replaced my old refrigerator. This one is quiet running. Also there is more useable space even though cubic wise is the same size as my old one . Hope it lasts as long as my old one without any problems.

It's ok but not Great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Needed a 33" fridge and wanted something more than a basic fridge. We had gotten all Kitchen-aid appliances so we went with fridge as well. Overall it works but the devils is in the details and this what bothers me about it.
- freezer door handle has been loose since day 1. Its just a little slop nothing major, but definitely not solid feeling
- foam / glue used to insulate is visible at every crease and edge.
- inside water is a 2 hand operation. I have family that also have kitchen aid and the water dispenser is activated by pressing glass below spout. This model requires you to press and hold button above spout in order to dispense.
- door shelves are all short. Didn't cross my mind at first but as soon as you try to store something tall in the doors it becomes a problem. When you open the door the tall things topple over because all the door nines are short. In order to fix this you either have to jam stuff in the bin or place. Something heavy in front of it. For example if you store a soda bottle in the door and open the door it will topple over. Just needs a deeper door bin.
I like the fridge but don't love it. For 2000.00 I expected a little higher quality and attention to detail.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After weeks of searching online and in area appliance displays, we chose this model for three reasons. First, it has the interior filtered water dispenser, rather than the space-wasting through-the-door design. The capacity of the refrigerator is ideal for our eating habits: room for lots of milk, juice, wine, and fresh produce. Finally, it is KitchenAid.
